Description
モノマ混合物(スチレン約630g、n−ブチルアクリレート約140g、βカルボキシエチルアクリレート(β−CEA)約23.3g、および1−ドデカンチオール約5.4g)と、水溶液(DOWFAX 2A1(Dow Chemical製アルキルジフェニルオキシドジスルホネート界面活性剤)約15.3g、および脱イオン水約368g)とを、約300rpmで、約20℃から約25℃の温度で撹拌することにより、モノマエマルジョンを調製した。
対照トナーを、下記の通り調製した。Baker−PetroliteからPOLYWAX 725(登録商標)として市販されているポリエチレンワックス分散液約60g、ピグメントレッド122分散液約85.4g、ピグメントレッド185分散液(ピグメントレッド185はマゼンタ顔料である)約21.3g、脱イオン水約919g、およびカルシウム樹脂酸塩を添加しないこと以外は実施例1で既に述べた手順に従って生成されたポリ(スチレン−コ−n−ブチルアクリレート)ラテックス約265.7gを混合し、約4000rpmで、約20℃から約25℃の温度で均質化した。約3.6gのDelPAC 2000(Delta Chemical Corporationから市販されている硫酸水酸化塩化アルミニウム(aluminum chloride hydroxide sulfate))を0.02N HNO3約32.4gに溶かした溶液を、約3分間均質化しながら混合物に滴下した。添加後、粘性ある混合物を、さらに約5分間連続して均質化した。次いでスラリを、2Lの反応器に移した。反応器を、撹拌速度約350rpmに設定し、加熱浴温度を約65℃に設定した。40分以内で、スラリ温度は約60℃になった。約60℃で約20分間の凝集後、体積による粒度は約5.5ミクロンであった。次いで、シェルラテックス(EP2−26P)約149.3gを、約5分間にわたって反応器に添加した。添加後約15分で、粒度が約6.7ミクロンであった。
実施例1で述べたものと同じ手順を使用して、ラテックス(コア用とシェル用の両方)をカルシウム樹脂酸塩で官能化したこと以外、実施例1で既に述べたものと同じ手順に従って、トナーを調製した。
Claims (5)
- 請求項1に記載のトナーであって、トナー粒子が、1ミクロンから20ミクロンのサイズ、および0.9から0.99の真円度を有することを特徴とするトナー。
- 請求項1に記載のトナーを含むことを特徴とする現像剤組成物。
- 請求項1に記載のトナーであって、
BET表面積が1m2/gから5m2/gであり、Jゾーン電荷とBゾーン電荷との比が1から2であり、Jゾーン電荷とAゾーン電荷との比が1.15から2.55である粒子を有することを特徴とするトナー。 - 請求項1に記載のトナーであって、Mは、カルシウムイオンであることを特徴とするトナー。
