Description

Claims (1)
- 内燃機関の排気通路と、前記排気通路に取り付けられたガスセンサと、を含むガスセンサの取付構造であって、
前記ガスセンサは、センサ素子と、前記センサ素子を覆い且つ先端部に通気孔が形成されたカバーとを含むと共に、前記排気通路の導入口から前記先端部が視認できないように前記排気通路に取り付けられ、
前記排気通路は、前記ガスセンサが取り付けられた直線状部分を含み、
前記導入口の開口面は、前記直線状部分の軸線に対して垂直に形成され、
前記直線状部分は、前記導入口から前記ガスセンサまで直線状に形成されており、
前記ガスセンサは、hを前記排気通路の径とし、tを前記排気通路の内壁面から前記ガスセンサの前記先端部までの突出長さとし、lを前記排気通路の導入口から前記ガスセンサの前記先端部までの前記直線状部分に平行な方向での距離とし、θを前記排気通路の前記直線状部分の軸心に対する前記ガスセンサの軸心の傾斜角とすると、θ≦90°−arctan{(h−t)/l}の条件式を満たすように前記排気通路に取り付けられている、ことを特徴とするガスセンサの取付構造。
