Claims (7)
- 点光源と、
前記点光源に対向する光導入部が形成された側面と、該光導入部から導入された光を外部に出射させる複数の反射部が形成された表面または裏面と、を含む平板状の導光板と、
前記導光板の裏面の側に設置された反射体と、を備え、
前記複数の反射部のそれぞれは、前記光導入部が位置する方向に対して略直交する方向を長軸とする形状、または前記光導入部を中心とする円弧状に形成された凹部であり、
前記複数の反射部は、前記光導入部の中心から距離rm (mは正の整数)の同心円弧上に配列され、
前記光導入部を中心とする中心角θn の複数の領域Rn (nは正の整数)に前記導光板を分割したときに、前記距離rm の円弧上の領域Rn に前記反射部が存在すると、
前記距離r m の円弧上の領域R n の前記反射部に隣接する前記距離r m の円弧上の前記反射部は、前記距離r m の円弧上の領域R n の前記反射部と互いに離間し、
前記距離r m の円弧上の領域R n の前記反射部と前記距離r m の円弧上の領域R n の前記反射部に隣接する前記距離r m の円弧上の前記反射部との間に、前記距離r m の円弧に隣接する距離r m+1 、r m-1 の隣接円弧上の前記領域R n に隣接する隣接領域R n+1 またはR n-1 の前記反射部が対応して配置され、
前記距離rmの円弧上の前記領域Rn に存在する反射部と、前記隣接円弧上の前記隣接領域に存在する反射部は、前記点光源から該反射部を見込んだときに互いに重畳していることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 前記複数の反射部のそれぞれの長軸は、前記光導入部の中心からの距離rm により定まる基準長L(L=rmsinθn)に対して0.8倍〜1.2倍の範囲の中で設定されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記領域の中心角は、前記光導入部が設置された導光板下辺に対して垂直な方向の領域よりも、前記導光板下辺に対して水平な方向の領域のほうが大きいことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の照明装置。
- 前記反射部は、前記表面又は前記裏面に形成された凹部からなり、
前記円周方向に直交する面での前記反射部の断面が、略直角三角形の形状であり、前記光導入部に近いほうの側に位置する面と前記表面又は前記裏面との角度が40°〜50°の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記光導入部が、前記側面に形成された略半円形状の窪みであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記反射部は、前記表面又は前記裏面に対して傾斜する反射面を有し、前記表面又は前記裏面の単位面積当たりの前記反射面の総面積は、前記反射部と前記光導入部との間の距離が増加するにつれて増加することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載された構成の照明装置と、前記照明装置の照射面側に配置された液晶パネルを備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
