・ カラーb値は、BYK colorgard 9000熱量計を使用して測定された。それは、45度サーカムフェレンシャル/0度ビューイングジオメトリーを使用する。表面からの拡散反射は、ペレットでカップを満たすことにより測定され、かつ測定は、測定機器が底部表面からカップ中に上がるときなされる。それは5回測定され、かつこれらの結果を平均して、一つの試験示度を与える。
・ 臭気はVDA 270に従って測定される。
・ 押出品質は、表面欠陥、表面粗度、表面平滑性及び光沢を定義したところの3人の人により目視測定され、かつ1〜5間のスコアーにより三つの査定の平均として表される。1=悪い押出品質、4=顧客に受け入れられ得る押出品質、5=優れた押出品質である。
・ ブラックスペックレベルは、汚染物質(ブラックスポット)が接眼レンズを使用することにより数えられて、2mmの厚さを持つ8×8cmの5個の射出成形部品において測定された。汚染物質は、0.6mmより大きいところのブラックスポット及び0.6mmより小さいブラックスポットである。測定後、0.6mmより大きいブラックスポットの平均数及び0.6mmより小さいブラックスポットの平均数が計算される。
・ 押出機内の滞留時間(tr)は、押出機の入口ポートに熱可塑性ポリオレフィン、架橋性ゴム及び硬化剤と一緒に対照カラー粒子の少量の投与とダイ出口における色の変化が顕著である最初の瞬間との間の測定された時間である。
・ 比エネルギー(Espec)は、DB Todd ISBN 1-56990-236-4によるPlastic compoundingに開示されているような1kg当りの熱可塑性エラストマーに押出機のモーターにより供給されるkWh単位の機械エネルギー(kWh/kg)である。
200部のEPDM(Keltan P597、商標)、33部の1.2g/10分のメルトフローインデックスを持つポリプロピレンホモポリマー、2部の塩化第一スズ、5部のフェノール樹脂(Schenectady SP 1045、商標)、2部の酸化亜鉛及び40部のタルクの混合物が、800rpmのスクリュー速度で動的架橋された。加えて、40部の油(Sunpar 150、商標)が、インジェクションを経て押出機の中央に加えられた。押出機内での滞留時間は29秒であり、滞留時間/(L/D) 比は0.55秒であり、かつEspec/滞留時間比は39.7kW/kgであった。動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーの性質は表1に与えられている。
滞留時間が22秒であったこと、滞留時間/(L/D) 比が0.42秒であったこと、及びEspec/滞留時間比が52.3kW/kgであったことを除いて実施例Iと同一の手順及び組成であった。動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーの性質は表1に与えられている。
滞留時間が18秒であったこと、滞留時間/(L/D) 比が0.35秒であったこと、及びEspec/滞留時間比が66kW/kgであったことを除いて実施例Iと同一の手順及び組成であった。動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーの性質は表1に与えられている。
滞留時間が44秒であったこと、滞留時間/(L/D) 比が0.85秒であったこと、及びEspec/滞留時間比が22.9kW/kgであったことを除いて実施例Iと同一の手順及び組成であった。動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーの性質は表1に与えられている。
L/Dが44であったこと、滞留時間が50秒であったこと、滞留時間/(L/D)比が1.14秒であったこと、及びEspec/滞留時間比が20.88kW/kgであったことを除いて実施例Iと同一の組成であった。動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーの性質は表1に与えられている。
Claims (6)
- 一緒に回転する二つのスクリューの押出機内で熱可塑性ポリオレフィン、架橋性ゴム及び硬化剤を溶融かつ混合し、それにより架橋性ゴムが混合の間に硬化されることを含む動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーの製造方法において、
tr=18〜29秒間
Espec/tr=39.7〜66.0kW/kg
tr/(L/D)=0.35〜0.55秒
(ここで、trは押出機内での滞留時間を意味し、Especは押出機内での比エネルギーを意味し、(L/D)は押出機内のスクリューの長さ/直径比を意味する)
であり、スクリュー速度が800〜1200rpmであり、
前記熱可塑性ポリオレフィンが、エチレン若しくはプロピレンのホモポリマー又はエチレンとプロピレンとのコポリマーであり、
前記架橋性ゴムがEPDM又はEPMであることを特徴とする方法。 - スクリュー速度が900〜1200rpmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- ゴムが、80%を超えるゲル含有量に架橋されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- ゴムが、95%を超えるゲル含有量に架橋されることを特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。
- 動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーが、5〜35重量%の熱可塑性ポリオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 動的架橋された熱可塑性エラストマーが、95〜65重量%の架橋性ゴムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
