図1(a)は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、(b)は、(a)の要部拡大図、図2は、図1の加締部の加工方法を示す説明図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウター側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインナー側(図面右側)という。

Claims (3)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に軸方向に延びる円筒状の小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された少なくとも一つの内輪からなり、前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
前記両転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
等速自在継手を構成する外側継手部材とを備え、
この外側継手部材がカップ状のマウス部と、このマウス部の底部をなす肩部と、この肩部から軸方向に延びる軸部とを一体に有し、この軸部が前記内方部材にトルク伝達可能に内嵌されると共に、
前記小径段部の端部を径方向に塑性変形させて形成した加締部により、前記ハブ輪に対して前記内輪が軸方向に固定され、前記肩部が前記加締部に突き合わせ状態で前記外側継手部材が軸方向に分離可能に、かつトルク伝達可能に内嵌された車輪用軸受装置において、
前記加締部に前記肩部と面接触する平坦面が当該加締部の内径側から外径側に向けて切削加工により形成されると共に、この平坦面の外径端の外径端に僅かに凹む段差部が形成され、旋削加工によってバリまたはかえりが発生しても前記段差部内に収容し、当該平坦面から突出して前記肩部に当接しないように構成されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記平坦面の外径端が前記外側継手部材の肩部の外径端よりも大径に形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記加締部が鍛造後の素材表面硬さ25HRC以下の未焼入れ部とされていると共に、前記外側継手部材の硬化層範囲を前記肩部の隅部に止め、前記加締部に当接する当該肩部が鍛造後の素材表面硬さ25HRC以下の未焼入れ部とされている請求項1または2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
