Description
Claims (7)
- 流動可能な溶融金属が貯蔵され、該溶融金属上で溶融ガラスが流動するフロート槽(float bath)を有するフロートガラスの製造装置であって、
下流端の壁面に衝突する前記溶融金属及び溶融金属上で浮遊するドロスを排出するように、前記壁面に貫設された複数の排出スリットと、
前記排出スリットと連通し、前記フロート槽の幅方向に形成された回収通路と、
前記回収通路を通って流動する前記ドロスを回収するためのドロス回収部材と、を備えることを特徴とするフロートガラスの製造装置。 - 前記複数の排出スリットの各々は、前記溶融金属がオーバーフローされるように前記溶融金属と実質的に同じ高さを持つ入口、及び前記入口から遠くなる方向に傾いた斜面を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- 前記ドロス回収部材は、前記回収通路と連通するように前記フロート槽の下流端の両側に設けられた回収ボックス、及び前記フロート槽の両側面に沿って還流する前記溶融金属に浮遊するドロスを前記回収ボックス内に掻き集められるように前記回収ボックスの入口に回転自在に設けられたパドルを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- 前記回収通路は前記フロート槽の中央から両側面に行くほど通路の面積が増加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- 前記複数の排出スリットの各々は前記フロート槽の中央から両側面に行くほどその幅が減少することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- 前記複数の排出スリット及び前記回収通路を流れる前記溶融金属を加熱するための加熱部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- 前記加熱部はヒーターを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
