Description
Claims (5)
- 流動可能な溶融金属が貯蔵され、該溶融金属上で溶融ガラスが流動するフロート槽(float bath)を有するフロートガラスの製造装置であって、
前記フロート槽の下流端の壁面に衝突する前記溶融金属及び溶融金属上で浮遊するドロスを排出するように、前記溶融ガラスの幅と実質的に同じ大きさであって、前記溶融ガラスの進行方向と実質的に平行に前記壁面に貫設された排出スロットと、
前記排出スロットと前記フロート槽の両側を連通させる連結流路と、
前記連結流路を通って流動する前記ドロスを回収するためのドロス回収部材と、を備えることを特徴とするフロートガラスの製造装置。 - 前記排出スロットは、前記溶融金属がオーバーフローされるように前記溶融金属と実質的に同じ高さを持つ入口、及び前記入口から遠くなる方向に傾いた斜面を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- それぞれの前記ドロス回収部材は、該当連結流路と連通するように前記フロート槽の下流端のいずれか一面に設けられた回収ボックスと、
前記フロート槽の一面に沿って還流する前記溶融金属に浮遊するドロスを前記回収ボックス内に回収できるように前記回収ボックスの入口に回転自在に設けられたパドルと、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。 - 前記排出スロット及び前記連結流路を流動する前記溶融金属を加熱するための加熱部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
- 前記加熱部はヒーターを含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のフロートガラスの製造装置。
