- 素子基板と、
前記素子基板上に配され、1対の電極と、前記1対の電極間に介在された有機層とを含んだ有機発光素子を一つ以上含んだ有機発光部と、
前記有機発光部上部に配される封止基板と、
前記素子基板と前記封止基板とを接合させるシーラントと、
前記素子基板と前記封止基板との間に備わった充填材と、
前記有機発光部と前記充填材との間に介在され、一つ以上の熱蒸着可能な有機物質からなる有機保護層とを具備し、
前記熱蒸着可能な有機物質が金属物質を含まず、
前記有機保護層が、一つ以上の熱蒸着可能な有機物質を、前記有機発光部の上部に熱蒸着させて形成された層であり、
前記熱蒸着可能な有機物質が、前記有機発光素子の有機層に含まれた複数の物質のうち、一つを含んだことを特徴とする有機発光装置。 - 前記熱蒸着可能な有機物質が、10−10torrないし10−3torrの真空度及び100℃ないし500℃の温度範囲で昇華可能な物質であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光装置。

- 前記有機保護層が、4,4’,4”−トリス(3−メチルフェニルフェニルアミノ)トリフェニルアミン(m−MTDATA)、N,N′−ジ(1−ナフチル)−N,N′−ジフェニルベンジジン(NPB)、TDATA、2T−NATA、N,N’−ビス(3−メチルフェニル)−N,N’−ジフェニル−[1,1−ビフェニル]−4,4’−ジアミン(TPD)、N,N’−ジ(ナフタレン−1−イル)−N,N’−ジフェニルベンジジン(α−NPD)、4,4′,4″−トリス(N−カルバゾリル)トリフェニルアミン(TCTA)、4,4’−N,N’−ジカルバゾール−ビフェニル(CBP)、9,10−ジ(ナフタレン−2−イル)アントラセン(ADN)、1,3,5−トリス(N−フェニルベンズイミダゾール−2−イル)ベンゼン(TPBI)、3−tert−ブチル−9,10−ジ(ナフト−2−イル)アントラセン(TBADN)、E3、ter−フルオレン、4,4′−ビス[4−(ジ−p−トリルアミノ)スチリル]ビフェニル(DPAVBi)、2,5,8,11−テトラ−tert−ブチルペリレン(TBP)、TAZ、TPQ1、TPQ2、4,7−ジフェニル−1,10−フェナントロリン(Bphen)及びBCPからなる群から選択された物質を含んだことを特徴とする請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の有機発光装置。
- 前記有機保護層の厚さが200Åないし1,200Åであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光装置。
- 前記充填材は、前記素子基板と前記封止基板との間の空間を充填するように備わることを特徴とする請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載の有機発光装置。
- 前記有機保護層は、前記有機発光部を覆うように備わり、前記充填材は、前記有機保護層を覆うことを特徴とする請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載の有機発光装置。
- 素子基板の一面に1対の電極と、前記1対の電極間の有機層とを具備した有機発光素子を一つ以上含んだ有機発光部を形成する段階と、
前記有機発光部上部に一つ以上の熱蒸着可能な有機物質を熱蒸着させ、有機保護層を形成する段階と、
封止基板を準備する段階と、
前記有機発光部と前記保護層とが備わった素子基板と、前記封止基板とのうち、一つ以上に充填材とシーラントとを提供する段階と、
前記素子基板と前記封止基板とを接合させる段階とを含み、
前記熱蒸着可能な有機物質が金属物質を含まず、
前記熱蒸着可能な有機物質が、前記有機発光素子の有機層に含まれた複数の物質のうち、一つを含んだことを特徴とする有機発光装置の製造方法。 - 前記熱蒸着可能な物質を10−10torrないし10−3torrの真空度及び100℃ないし500℃の温度範囲で蒸着させて有機保護層を形成することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の有機発光装置の製造方法。
- 前記有機保護層が、4,4’,4”−トリス(3−メチルフェニルフェニルアミノ)トリフェニルアミン(m−MTDATA)、N,N′−ジ(1−ナフチル)−N,N′−ジフェニルベンジジン(NPB)、TDATA、2T−NATA、N,N’−ビス(3−メチルフェニル)−N,N’−ジフェニル−[1,1−ビフェニル]−4,4’−ジアミン(TPD)、N,N’−ジ(ナフタレン−1−イル)−N,N’−ジフェニルベンジジン(α−NPD)、4,4′,4″−トリス(N−カルバゾリル)トリフェニルアミン(TCTA)、4,4’−N,N’−ジカルバゾール−ビフェニル(CBP)、9,10−ジ(ナフタレン−2−イル)アントラセン(ADN)、1,3,5−トリス(N−フェニルベンズイミダゾール−2−イル)ベンゼン(TPBI)、3−tert−ブチル−9,10−ジ(ナフト−2−イル)アントラセン(TBADN)、E3、ter−フルオレン、4,4′−ビス[4−(ジ−p−トリルアミノ)スチリル]ビフェニル(DPAVBi)、2,5,8,11−テトラ−tert−ブチルペリレン(TBP)、TAZ、TPQ1、TPQ2、4,7−ジフェニル−1,10−フェナントロリン(Bphen)及びBCPからなる群から選択された一つ以上を含んだことを特徴とする請求項13又は14に記載の有機発光装置の製造方法。
- 前記有機発光素子の有機層形成のための複数の真空蒸着チャンバのうちの一つで、前記有機保護層を形成することを特徴とする請求項13から15の何れか一項に記載の有機発光装置の製造方法。
