Description
Claims (12)
- ターボチャージャのためのスクイーズフィルム軸受カートリッジのためのハウジングであって、
前記ハウジングにより少なくとも部分的に画定される孔と、
前記ハウジングのタービン側端部から前記ハウジングのコンプレッサ側端部に沿って延びる中心軸と、
第1の直径における一対のロータ制限表面と、を有し、前記ロータ制限表面の一方は、前記ハウジングの前記タービン側端部に近接して位置決めされ、前記ロータ制限表面の他方は、前記ハウジングの前記コンプレッサ側端部に近接して位置決めされ、
前記ハウジングはさらに、第2の直径において位置決めされる一対のロータ減衰表面を有し、前記一対のロータ減衰表面は、前記一対のロータ制限表面の間に位置決めされ、前記第2の直径は前記第1の直径を越え、
前記ハウジングはさらに、前記一対のロータ制限表面の間であり且つ前記一対のロータ減衰表面の間に位置決めされる、前記ロータ制限表面および前記ロータ減衰表面への潤滑材の分配のために潤滑材を受け入れる潤滑剤入口くぼみを有する、ハウジング。 - 軸受カートリッジを更に有し、前記軸受カートリッジが前記ハウジングの前記第1の直径に関する第1の間隙及び前記ハウジングの前記第2の直径に関する第2の間隙を画定する外径を有し、前記第2の間隙が前記第1の間隙を越えることを特徴とする請求項1のハウジング。
- 軸受カートリッジ及びハウジングの組立体を形成するように位置される軸受カートリッジを更に有し、前記組立体は、前記軸受カートリッジの第1の外表面及び前記ハウジングの前記第1の直径により半径方向で境界決めされた第1の潤滑剤フィルム区域と、前記軸受カートリッジの第2の外表面及び前記ハウジングの前記第2の直径により半径方向で境界決めされた第2の潤滑剤フィルム区域とを有し、前記第2の潤滑剤フィルム区域が前記第1の潤滑剤フィルム区域の半径方向の厚さを越える半径方向の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1のハウジング。
- ターボチャージャのためのスクイーズフィルム軸受カートリッジであって、
中央区分と;
第1の外径を有する2つの外側区分と;
第2の外径を有する2つの中間区分と;
を有し、前記中間区分が前記中央区分と前記外側区分の対応する1つとの間に位置し、前記第1の外径が前記第2の外径を越え、前記中央区分と一方の前記中間区分との間の第1のくぼみと、前記中央区分と他方の前記中間区分との間の第2のくぼみと、を更に有し、
前記中央区分と、前記2つの外側区分と、前記2つの中間区分と、前記第1くぼみと、前記第2くぼみとは前記軸受カートリッジの一体的な外側部材により形成される、前記2つの外側区分はロータの半径方向の自由を最小化するように作用し、前記2つの中間区分は、ロータの不平衡力を減衰させるように作用することを特徴とする軸受カートリッジ。 - 前記くぼみが軸受カートリッジ内への潤滑剤の進入を許容する1又はそれ以上の開口を有することを特徴とする請求項4の軸受カートリッジ。
- 一方の前記中間区分と一方の前記外側区分との間の第1の研削リリーフ部(grind relief)と、他方の前記中間区分と他方の前記外側区分との間の第2の研削リリーフ部とを更に有することを特徴とする請求項4の軸受カートリッジ。
- 前記第1の研削リリーフ部及び前記第2の研削リリーフ部が湾曲状の横断面を有することを特徴とする請求項6の軸受カートリッジ。
- 前記第1の研削リリーフ部及び前記第2の研削リリーフ部が多角形の横断面を有することを特徴とする請求項6の軸受カートリッジ。
- 一方の前記中間区分と一方の前記外側区分との間の第1の段部と、他方の前記中間区分と他方の前記外側区分との間の第2の段部とを更に有することを特徴とする請求項4の軸受カートリッジ。
- 前記ハウジング内でカートリッジを軸方向において位置決めするための開口を更に有することを特徴とする請求項4の軸受カートリッジ。
- 前記開口が潤滑剤出口であることを特徴とする請求項10の軸受カートリッジ。
- ターボチャージャのための組立体においてロータの半径方向の自由を最小化し、ロータの不平衡力を減衰する方法であって、
軸受カートリッジの2つの外側区分のための第1の外径を選択する工程と;
前記軸受カートリッジの2つの中間区分のための第2の外径を選択する工程と;を有し、前記2つの中間区分は前記軸受カートリッジの中央区分に隣接し、
前記方法はさらに、前記軸受カートリッジのためのハウジングを選択する工程と;
を有し、前記ハウジングが前記第1及び第2の外径間に第1及び第2の間隙を画定する内径を有し、前記第2の間隙が前記第1の間隙を越え、前記第1の間隙がロータの半径方向の自由を最小化するように作用し、前記第2の間隙がロータの不平衡力を減衰するように作用することを特徴とする方法。
