Description
前記シート部材は、粒子径100μmのアルミナ粒子と繊維長5mmのアルミナ繊維を1対1で混合した混合粉末と、酸処理した天然燐片状黒鉛を1,000℃以上で膨張化処理した膨張黒鉛から成ることを特徴とする。
そして、好ましくは前記膨張黒鉛はアスペクト比10以上のものが50質量パーセントを占め、
前記シート部材は前記膨張黒鉛と前記混合粉末を混合して厚みを0.1〜2.0mmにローラー圧延成形して形成する。
シート部材への通電は、ガス予熱中あるいは終了後から鋳造開始あるいは鋳造開始後10分間は電気を流しておく事が好ましい。通電終了後にヒーターを設置
した状態で鋳造しても、ノズルから取外しても良い。
尚、シート部材の電気比抵抗を低くするためには、結晶質炭素を用い、形状的にはアスペクト比10以上の大きいものを使用することが望ましい。
マイカシートで被覆したものに対しては、引続き1時間通電を継続した。その場合の酸化消耗率は5.1%であった。
上記空気遮断層としてマイカシート以外に、酸化物系、窒化物系、炭化物系セラミックスを使用することが出来る。

Claims (4)
- 炭素含有量25質量%以上の炭素質材料からシート部材を成形し、該シート部材に30〜220Vの商用電源から通電して抵抗発熱させる連続鋳造用ノズルの外装ヒーターであって、
前記シート部材は、粒子径100μmのアルミナ粒子と繊維長5mmのアルミナ繊維を1対1で混合した混合粉末と、酸処理した天然燐片状黒鉛を1,000℃以上で膨張化処理した膨張黒鉛から成ることを特徴とする連続鋳造用ノズルの外装ヒーター。 - 前記膨張黒鉛はアスペクト比10以上のものが50質量パーセントを占め、
前記シート部材は前記膨張黒鉛と前記混合粉末を混合して厚みを0.1〜2.0mmにローラー圧延成形して形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の連続鋳造用ノズルの外装ヒーター。 - 前記シート部材の表面に、セラミックス材料で形成した空気遮断層を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の連続鋳造用ノズルの外装ヒーター。
- 前記シート部材をノズルに外装したときの外周側に、セラミックス材料で形成した断熱材を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2記載の連続鋳造用ノズルの外装ヒーター。
