人工器官を配備するのに必要な軸方向力を実質的に増大させないで部分的に配備された人工器官を引っ込めることができる人工器官配備システムを提供する目的、
引っ込み能力を劣化させず又は失わせないで、露出された人工器官軸方向長さの何分の一かに関して人工器官をその配備の際に後の段階で引っ込めることができる人工器官配備システムを提供する目的、
部分的に配備されたステントを引っ込める必要が生じた場合であってもステント保持能力が高い配備器具を提供する目的、
例えばステント−グラフトの場合のようにオープンフレーム支持構造体が覆われる部分的に配備された器具を引っ込めることができる配備器具を提供する目的、及び
部分的に配備された人工器官を引っ込める能力を提供するよう従来型人工器官運搬及び配備システムの内側カテーテル又は他の内側部材への取り付けに適した人工器官固定器具を提供する目的、のうちの少なくとも1つに関する。
a.細長い人工器官制御部材の遠位端部領域に沿って且つこれに対して包囲関係をなして半径方向自己拡張型人工器官を位置決めするステップを有し、人工器官の近位端部連結構造体が、制御部材から半径方向外方に延びる軸方向に間隔を置いた第1及び第2の特徴部の近くに設けられ、
b.人工器官を上記のように位置決めした状態で、人工器官を内部弾性復元力に抗して半径減少運搬状態に半径方向に縮めて連結構造体を第1の特徴部と第2の特徴部との間の運搬位置に動かし、それにより、第1の特徴部と第2の特徴部は、人工器官が運搬状態に維持されている限り、制御部材に対する人工器官の軸方向移動を所定の範囲に制限するよう協働し、
c.連結構造体の軸方向寸法を第1の特徴部と第2の特徴部との間の軸方向間隔に対して選択し、それにより、所定の範囲が連結構造体の軸方向寸法の少なくとも2倍であるようにするステップを有する、方法である。
Claims (15)
- 体内に植え込み可能な人工器官の管腔内運搬及び制御された配備を行う器具であって、
半径方向自己拡張型人工器官を内部復元力に抗して半径減少運搬状態で収容するようになっている遠位壁セグメントを備えた細長い人工器官運搬部材を有し、
前記遠位壁セグメント内に収容され、それにより前記半径減少運搬状態に維持された半径方向自己拡張型人工器官を有し、前記人工器官は、多数本の螺旋に巻かれて編組されたストランドを有し、近位端部及び遠位端部を有する管状のオープンフレーム構造体を構成し、前記近位端部のところのストランドは、前記人工器官の管状のフレーム構造体の中で複数の細長い軸方向に向けられたループに形成されて、前記人工器官の近位端部に位置する連結構造体を構成し、軸方向に細長い前記ループの各々は、互いに離れた長手方向部分を含み、
細長い人工器官制御部材を有し、前記制御部材は、前記制御部材の遠位端部領域が前記運搬部材の前記遠位壁セグメントに沿って延び、前記人工器官の半径方向内部に設けられた運搬位置に近づいたりこれから遠ざかるよう前記運搬部材に対して軸方向に移動可能に設けられ、
前記連結構造体の寸法形状に対応する寸法形状を備えた制御特徴部を有し、前記連結構造体と前記制御特徴部は互いに結合可能であり、前記制御特徴部は、前記制御部材の前記遠位端部領域に沿って設けられていて、前記人工器官が前記のように収納された状態の前記運搬位置にあるとき、前記連結構造体の半径方向中点を越えて前記制御部材から半径方向外方に延び、それにより、前記制御部材に対する前記運搬部材及び前記人工器官の制限された遠位側への移動を可能にすると共に前記遠位側への移動時に前記連結構造体との実質的に非摩擦的面係合を行うよう位置決めされ、それにより、前記人工器官を前記制御部材に対するそれ以上の遠位側への移動を止めるよう固定するよう位置決めされていることを特徴とする器具。 - 前記遠位端部領域は、前記運搬位置にあるとき、前記人工器官によって包囲される請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記運搬部材は、前記外側カテーテルの実質的に長さ全体にわたって延びるルーメンを備えた細長い外側カテーテルを有する請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記制御部材は、前記ルーメン内に設けられた細長い内側カテーテルから成り、前記内側カテーテルの近位領域は、前記外側カテーテルに対する前記遠位領域の一部を制御するために前記近位領域の使用を容易にするよう前記外側カテーテルの近位端部を越えて近位側に延びている請求項3記載の器具。
- 前記制御特徴部は、前記制御部材の前記遠位領域周りに互いに角度間隔を置いて設けられた複数の制御特徴部を有する請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記制御特徴部は、実質的に前記軸方向に垂直な平面内で整列した近位端面を有する請求項5記載の器具。
- 前記制御特徴部の各々の近位端面は、前記軸方向に対して90°以外の角度をなすよう前記制御部材に対して整列する請求項5記載の器具。
- 前記制御特徴部は各々、近位側への方向に凹面を含む近位端面を有する請求項5記載の器具。
- 前記制御特徴部を支持すると共に前記遠位端部領域に沿って前記制御部材に対してこれを包囲した状態で設けられたスリーブを更に有する請求項5記載の器具。
- 前記スリーブ及び前記制御特徴部は、一体部材として形成されている請求項9記載の器具。
- 前記制御部材に沿って設けられると共に前記制御特徴部から近位側に間隔を置いて位置し、前記人工器官が前記のように収納された状態の前記運搬位置にあるとき、前記制御部材に対する前記運搬部材及び前記人工器官の制限された近位側への移動を可能にすると共に前記制限された近位側への移動に応答して前記人工器官の前記近位端部に係合し、それにより前記制御部材に対する前記人工器官のそれ以上の近位側への移動を阻止するよう位置決めされたスラスト特徴部を更に有する請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記連結構造体は、前記人工器官が前記のように収納されているとき、前記スラスト特徴部と前記制御特徴部との間に位置するその一部に沿って軸方向寸法を有し、前記スラスト特徴部と前記制御特徴部との間の軸方向間隔は、前記制御部材に対する前記人工器官の軸方向移動のために、前記軸方向寸法の3.3〜6.7倍の範囲を定めるよう選択されている請求項11記載の器具。
- 前記軸方向移動範囲は、少なくとも約0.7mm、せいぜい約1.7mmである請求項12記載の器具。
- 前記制御特徴部は、細長い軸方向に延びたフィンを有する請求項5記載の器具。
- 前記運搬部材からの前記人工器官の解除時における前記人工器官の半径方向自己拡張部は、前記制御特徴部を半径方向外方に越えて前記連結構造体を支持し、かくして、前記人工器官を前記制御部材から離脱させる請求項1記載の器具。
