Claims (5)
- 赤色光、緑色光および青色光を混色して照明光を生成し、その照明光を用いて被照明体を照明する照明装置であって、
赤色光を発光する赤色発光ダイオード、緑色光を発光する緑色発光ダイオードおよび青色光を発光する青色発光ダイオードをそれぞれ含む複数の発光素子と、
前記赤色発光ダイオード、前記緑色発光ダイオードおよび前記青色発光ダイオードの各々から発光される光を受光し、その受光した光の光度に応じた値を出力する受光素子と、
前記赤色発光ダイオード、前記緑色発光ダイオードおよび前記青色発光ダイオードの各々の劣化率を前記受光素子の出力値から求め、前記劣化率に基づいて、前記赤色発光ダイオード、前記緑色発光ダイオードおよび前記青色発光ダイオードの各々への供給電流値を調整して照明光の色合いを補正する色合い補正動作を行う制御部とを備え、
前記制御部は、前記色合い補正動作を行う際に、前記受光素子で受光される外光の光度が前記色合い補正動作に影響を及ぼす値であるか否かの判断を行い、前記外光の光度が前記色合い補正動作に影響を及ぼす値であると判断した場合に前記色合い補正動作を中止する一方、前記外光の光度が前記色合い補正動作に影響を及ぼす値ではないと判断した場合に前記色合い補正動作を開始するように構成されていることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 前記色合い補正動作を行う際に、全ての前記発光素子をオフ状態にし、前記全ての発光素子をオフ状態にした時の前記受光素子の出力値から前記外光の光度を入手することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記色合い補正動作を行う際に、前記全ての発光素子をオフ状態にした時の前記受光素子の出力値に基づいて、前記色合い補正動作を中止するか開始するかの判断を行うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の照明装置。
- 前記色合い補正動作を行う際に、前記全ての発光素子をオフ状態にした時の前記受光素子の出力値が所定値以上の場合に前記色合い補正動作を中止する一方、前記全ての発光素子をオフ状態にした時の前記受光素子の出力値が前記所定値よりも小さい場合に前記色合い補正動作を開始することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の照明装置。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の照明装置と、
前記照明装置により照明される液晶表示パネルとを備えていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
