Description
ダイを用いてポリマーシートを製造する方法に関しては、極めて滑らかな層を、ダイのダイリップ(die lip)の温度を十分に上げて、前記型押し前の波打ち指数および粗さパラメータを有するシートを製造することによって製造しうる。さまざまな実施形態において、ダイリップの温度は、170℃から230℃、190℃から210℃、または195℃から205℃の間に維持される。
さまざまな実施形態において、本発明は、上記で与えられたWIおよびRzの型押し後の値を有する、少なくとも1つの表面を有するポリ(ビニルブチラール)などのポリマーシートを含む。本発明は、上記で与えられたWIおよびRzの型押し後の値を有する、2つの表面を持つポリ(ビニルブチラール)などのポリマーシートをさらに含む。
図1に示されているポリマーフィルム層16は、多層ガラスパネルにおいて性能強化層として従来通り使用されている、適切な任意の熱可塑性フィルムでありうる。さまざまな実施形態において、ポリマーフィルム層16は、0.013mmから0.20mm、好ましくは0.025mmから0.1mm、または0.04から0.06mmの厚さを有する。ポリマーフィルム層16は、場合により表面処理または被覆されて、接着または赤外線反射などの、1つまたはそれ以上の性質を改善することができる。これらの機能的性能層には、例えば、太陽光に曝された場合、太陽赤外線を反射し、可視光を透過させる多層積み重ね(multi−layer stack)が含まれる。この多層積み重ねは、当技術分野において知られており(例えば、WO88/01230および米国特許第4799745号を参照されたい。)、例えば、1つまたはそれ以上のオングストローム厚さの金属層および1つまたはそれ以上の(例えば、2つの)順番に堆積された、光学的に協調する誘電体層を含むことができる。これもまた知られているように(例えば、米国特許第4017661号および第4786783号を参照されたい。)、金属層を、関連している任意のガラス層を除霜または防曇するために、場合により電気的に抵抗加熱してもよい。

Rzを測定するために、可塑化ポリマーシートの15cm×15cmの試験試料を、プレートの中を通り抜けて循環する室温の流体によって制御されている真空プレート上に設置する。5psiの真空を印加して、試料をプレート表面に向けて引っ張る。PRK駆動ユニットおよびRFHTB−250トレーシング触針を備えた、型式S8PのPerthometer(Mahr Gage Co.、ニューヨーク州から入手可能)を用いて、試験試料のそれぞれの側のシート表面粗さを直接測定する。プロフィール選択を測定器の「R」に設定する。トレーシング触針が試料表面を横断して自動的に移動する。それぞれのトレースの長さは、2.5mmの7個の一連の測定長さLcからなる17.5mmである。測定長さは12.5mmであり、最初および最後の部分を削除することにより得られた、5個の測定長さからなる。これらの5個の一連の測定長さLcの、個々の粗さ深さの平均値が測定され、Rzは10回のこのような測定の平均値であり、5回は、押出し成形の装置方向(MD)において測定され、5回は、装置方向と交差する方向(CMD)において測定される。個々の方向における2つの連続したトレース間の距離は、3mmである。
ガラス‖ポリ(ビニルブチラール)‖ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)‖ポリ(ビニルブチラール)‖ガラス(ただし、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)は、0.05mmのDupont Mylar(登録商標)であり、ポリ(ビニルブチラール)層は、それぞれ0.38ミリメートル厚さであり従来の技法によって製造されている。)。
ガラス‖ポリ(ビニルブチラール)‖ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)‖ポリ(ビニルブチラール)‖ガラス(ただし、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)は、0.05mmのDupont Mylar(登録商標)であり、ポリ(ビニルブチラール)層は、それぞれ0.38ミリメートル厚さであり本発明の方法によって製造されている。)。
Claims (26)
- ポリ(ビニルブチラール);および
可塑剤を含むポリマーシートであり、前記ポリマーシートが、20,000平方マイクロメートル未満の波打ち指数、少なくとも20マイクロメートルのRz値、および10から95の間の耐久度を有する表面を有する、ポリマーシート。 - 他のどの層とも接触して配設されていない、請求項1のポリマーシート。
- 前記Rz値が少なくとも30マイクロメートルである、請求項1のポリマーシート。
- 前記Rz値が少なくとも35マイクロメートルである、請求項1のポリマーシート。
- 20,000平方マイクロメートル未満の波打ち指数、少なくとも20マイクロメートルのRz値、および10から95の間の耐久度を有する第2の表面を有する、請求項1のポリマーシート。
- ポリ(ビニルブチラール)および可塑剤を含む第1ポリマーシートを形成するステップ(前記第1ポリマーシートは第1表面および第2表面を有し、かつ前記第1表面は、20,000平方マイクロメートル未満の波打ち指数、少なくとも20マイクロメートルのRz値、および10から95の間の耐久度を有する。);
ポリマーフィルムの層を、前記第1ポリマーシートの前記第1表面に接触させて配設し、積み重ねを形成する配設ステップ;ならびに
前記積み重ねを積層するステップ
を含む、多層中間層を製造する方法。 - 前記波打ち指数が15,000平方マイクロメートル未満である、請求項6の方法。
- 前記波打ち指数が12,000平方マイクロメートル未満である、請求項6の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムが、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)を含む、請求項6の方法。
- 前記Rz値が少なくとも30マイクロメートルである、請求項6の方法。
- 前記Rz値が少なくとも35マイクロメートルである、請求項6の方法。
- 前記積層に先立ち、ポリ(ビニルブチラール)および可塑剤を含む第2ポリマーシートを、前記第1ポリマーシートの反対側に前記ポリマーフィルムに接触させて、前記積み重ねに追加するステップをさらに含み、前記ポリマーフィルムに接触して配設される前記第2ポリマーシートの表面が、20,000平方マイクロメートル未満の波打ち指数、少なくとも20マイクロメートルのRz値、および10から95の間の耐久度を有する、請求項6の方法。
- 前記積層に先立ち、ガラスの第1層を、前記ポリマーフィルム層の反対側に前記第1ポリマーシートに接触させて、前記積み重ねに追加するステップと、ならびにガラスの第2層を、前記ポリマーフィルム層に反対側の前記第2ポリマーシートに接触させて前記積み重ねに追加するステップとをさらに含む、請求項12の方法。
- 前記第1ポリマーシートを形成するステップが、
ポリ(ビニルブチラール)および可塑剤を含む滑らかなポリマー層(前記滑らかなポリマー層は、15,000平方マイクロメートル未満の波打ち指数および15マイクロメートル未満のRz値を有する第1表面を有する。)を形成するステップ、ならびに
前記第1表面に粗さパターンを型押しして前記第1ポリマーシートを製造するステップを含む、請求項6の方法。 - 前記滑らかなポリマーシートの前記形成が、ダイリップ温度170℃から230℃のダイを使用することを含む、請求項14の方法。
- 前記滑らかなポリマーシートの前記形成が、鏡面ダイロールを使用することを含む、請求項15の方法。
- 前記第2表面が、20,000平方マイクロメートル未満の波打ち指数、少なくとも20マイクロメートルのRz値、および10から95の間の耐久度を有する表面を有する、請求項6の方法。
- ポリマーシートの製造方法であり、
