Claims (16)
- 液晶パネルを含むカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置であって、
前記液晶パネルは第1基板、第2基板、液晶層、カラーフィルタ及びバックライト光源を具え、
前記第1基板は、複数の画素を有し、前記複数の画素のうち少なくとも一部の画素が複数のカラー副画素を含み、前記カラー副画素は複数の第1副画素、複数の第2副画素および複数の第3副画素を含み、
前記第2基板は、前記第1基板に対向して設置され、
前記液晶層は、前記第1基板と第2基板との間に配置され、前記カラー副画素に対応して設置される複数の液晶層セグメントを含み、各前記液晶セグメントはそれぞれ第1状態および第2状態で操作可能であり、
前記カラーフィルタは、前記第1副画素の各々に対応する複数の第1カラーフィルタセグメント、前記第3副画素の各々に対応する複数の第2カラーフィルタセグメント、および前記第2副画素の各々に対応する開口部を含み、
前記バックライト光源は、前記第1基板に隣接し、複数の第1カラー光源コンポーネント、および前記第1カラー光源コンポーネントと異なり、前記第2副画素と同色の光を発する複数の第2カラー光源コンポーネントを含み、前記液晶パネルに光源を供給し、
第1副画素、第2副画素および第3副画素に配置された液晶層セグメントが第1状態で操作される時、第1光源コンポーネントがオンにされて発光し、第2副画素および第3副画素に配置された液晶層セグメントが第1状態で操作され、且つ第1副画素に配置された液晶層セグメントが第2状態で操作される時、第2光源コンポーネントがオンにされて発光するように構成されていることを特徴とするカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記カラーフィルタが前記第2基板上に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1カラーフィルタセグメントが赤色フィルタセグメントであり、前記第2カラーフィルタセグメントが青色フィルタセグメントであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1カラー光源コンポーネントが白色光を発し、かつ前記第2カラー光源コンポーネントが緑色光を発することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1カラー光源コンポーネントがマゼンタ色光を発し、かつ前記第2カラー光源コンポーネントが緑色光を発することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記マゼンタ色光は、赤色発光コンポーネントおよび青色発光コンポーネントからの光の混光により形成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1状態が非遮光状態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第2状態が遮光状態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記バックライト光源は複数の発光ダイオードであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1カラー光源コンポーネントは、青色発光ダイオードおよび青色光により励起できる赤色発光材料であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1カラー光源コンポーネントが白色発光ダイオードであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラー液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法であって、
前記液晶ディスプレイ装置は、複数の画素、液晶層、カラーフィルタおよびバックライト光源を具え、前記複数の画素のうち少なくとも一部の画素が複数のカラー副画素を含み、前記カラー副画素は複数の第1副画素、複数の第2副画素および複数の第3副画素を含み、前記液晶層が、前記第1副画素、第2副画素および第3副画素にそれぞれ配置される複数の液晶層セグメントを含み、各前記複数の液晶セグメントがそれぞれ第1状態および第2状態で操作可能であり、前記カラーフィルタは、複数の前記第1副画素の各々に対応する第1カラーフィルタセグメント、複数の前記第3副画素の各々に対応する第2カラーフィルタセグメント、および前記第2副画素の各々に対応する開口部を含み、
前記バックライト光源は、複数の第1光源コンポーネントおよび前記第1光源コンポーネントと異なり、前記第2副画素と同色の光を発する複数の第2光源コンポーネントを含み、
前記液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法は、
第1フレームを表示する時、第1光源コンポーネントがオンにされ、第1光源コンポーネントが発光した第1色光が前記液晶層セグメントおよび前記カラーフィルタを透過し、前記第1副画素、第2副画素および第3副画素に配置された前記液晶層セグメントが前記第1状態で操作される工程と、
第2フレームを表示する時、第2光源コンポーネントがオンにされ、第2光源コンポーネントが発光した第2色光が前記液晶層セグメントおよび前記カラーフィルタを透過し、前記第1副画素に配置された前記液晶層セグメントが前記第2状態で操作され、前記第2副画素および前記第3副画素に配置された前記液晶層セグメントが前記第1状態で操作される工程と、
前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームを交互に表示する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法。 - 前記第1色光が白色光であり、前記第2色光が緑色光であることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
- 前記第1色光がマゼンタ色光であり、前記第2色光が緑色光であることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
- 前記第1フレームおよび前記第2フレームを交互に表示する周波数が60Hz以上であることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
- 前記液晶層は複数の液晶分子を含み、前記液晶層セグメントが前記第1状態で操作される時、前記液晶分子は非遮光状態で操作され、前記液晶層セグメントが前記第2状態で操作される時、前記液晶分子は遮光状態で操作されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
