Claims (5)
- 液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶表示パネルの後方に位置し、前記液晶表示パネルに対向する出射面および前記出射面に対面しており、グルーブが形成されている反射面を有する導光板と、
前記導光板を挟んで配置されている一対の光源部と、を含み、
前記反射面は、前記反射面の中央部に位置している第1領域、および前記第1領域を囲むように位置しており、前記第1領域よりもグルーブの密度が大きい第2領域を含み、
前記第2領域は、前記光源部に対向する前記反射面の端部に沿って延長されている一対の第1サブ領域と、前記光源部の延長方向に対して垂直をなす方向に沿って延長されている一対の第2サブ領域とを含み、
前記第2サブ領域におけるグルーブの密度は、前記第1サブ領域におけるグルーブの密度よりも大きいことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 反射面にグルーブが形成されている導光板であって、
前記反射面は、前記反射面の中央部に位置している第1領域と、前記第1領域を囲むように位置しており、前記第1領域よりもグルーブの密度が大きい第2領域と、を含み、
前記導光板は、四角形のプレート形状をなし、
前記第2領域は、前記反射面のいずれか一対の端部に沿って延長されている一対の第1サブ領域と、前記反射面の他の一対の端部に沿って延長されている一対の第2サブ領域と、を含み、
前記第2サブ領域におけるグルーブの密度は、前記第1サブ領域におけるグルーブの密度よりも大きいことを特徴とする導光板。 - 前記グルーブは、二酸化炭素をソースとして使用するレーザーを利用して形成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の導光板。
- 前記グルーブの横断面は、略プリズム形状をなしており、
前記グルーブの横断面の幅は、100μm〜300μmの範囲から選択され、前記グルーブの横断面の傾斜角は30度〜55度の範囲から選択され、
前記グルーブの底部は、半円柱形状をなしており、
前記グルーブの底部がなす半円柱の半径は30μm〜80μmの範囲から選択されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の導光板。 - 前記導光板は、PMMA(ポリメチルメタアクリレート)またはPMS(ポリメチルスチレン)からなり、
前記導光板は、押出で製造されたプレートにレーザーを用いて前記グルーブを形成することにより製造されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の導光板。
