Claims (4)
- 少なくとも、第1の溶媒と、前記第1の溶媒より高沸点で且つ前記第1の溶媒の表面張力よりも大きい第2の溶媒との混合溶液にスペーサ粒子を分散させたスペーサ分散溶液の液滴を、基板上に配置されている複数の電極膜間に向けて設ける工程と
前記基板を前記第1の溶媒の沸点よりも低い温度で加熱し、前記スペーサ分散溶液の前記第1の溶媒を蒸発させる工程と、
前記設ける工程および前記蒸発工程後、前記基板を前記第1の溶媒の沸点より高く前記第2の溶媒の沸点よりも低い温度で加熱し、前記スペーサ分散溶液の前記第2の溶媒を蒸発させる工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記基板の加熱温度は、前記第1の溶媒を蒸発させる際には、t1<taであり、前記第2の溶媒を蒸発させる際には、ta<t2<tbであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の表示装置の製造方法。
ただし、t1は前記第1の溶媒を蒸発させる際の前記基板の加熱温度、taは前記第1の溶媒の沸点、t2は前記第2の溶媒を蒸発させる際の前記基板の加熱温度、tbは前記第2の溶媒の沸点である。 - 前記第1の溶媒が、更に前記スペーサ粒子の比重より小さく、前記第2の溶媒が、更に前記スペーサ粒子の比重より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の表示装置の製造方法。
- 第1基板本体の表面に、複数が互いに離間して配置された第1電極膜と前記第1電極膜の表面に設けられた第1配向膜とが形成されている第1基板と、
前記第1基板の対向面に設けられ、第2基板本体の表面に配置された第2電極膜と前記第2電極膜の表面に設けられた第2配向膜とが形成されている第2基板と、
第1電極膜の離間部分に設けられ、且つ前記第1及び第2基板の前記第1及び第2配向膜の間に挟まれたスペーサ粒子と、
を備え、
前記スペーサ粒子は、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載の製造方法により設けたことを特徴とする表示装置。
