Description
Claims (4)
- 排気ガス温度を上昇させるための内燃エンジン(10)の運転方法であって、前記エンジン(10)は、シリンダ(12)の端部に配置された少なくとも一つの吸気バルブ(5)と、少なくとも一つの排気バルブ(7)と、を各々が有する複数のシリンダ(12)を含み、該シリンダ(12)の各々が、その内部に移動自在に配置されたピストン(2)をさらに有し、該ピストン(2)が上死点と下死点との間での往復運動するようになっており、該上死点が該下死点よりも該バルブ(5,7)に近接して設けられ、
前記エンジン(10)が、燃料の供給を減少することにより少なくとも1本のシリンダ(12)の作動停止を可能にするようになっており、
かつ前記エンジン(10)が、前記吸気バルブ(5)の少なくとも一つおよび前記排気バルブ(7)の少なくとも一つの開口時間を変化させるようになっており、
少なくとも1本の作動シリンダ(12)への燃料供給を増加するステップと、
作動停止シリンダ(12)の少なくとも一つの吸気バルブ(5)の合計開口時間を、該シリンダが作動している時の同一バルブの開口時間と比較して長期化するステップであって、前記開口時間の長期化が、前記ピストン(2)が下死点へ向かう方向に移動する吸気行程中と、該ピストン(2)が上死点へ向かう方向に移動する連続した圧縮行程中と、の両方において、少なくとも一つの吸気バルブ(5)が少なくとも部分的に開口するように実施されるステップと、
作動停止シリンダ(12)の少なくとも一つの排気バルブ(7)の合計開口時間を、該シリンダが作動している時の同一バルブの開口時間と比較して長期化するステップであって、前記開口時間の長期化が、前記ピストン(2)が下死点へ向かう方向に移動する膨張行程中と、該ピストン(2)が上死点へ向かう方向に移動する連続した排気行程中と、の両方において、少なくとも一つの排気バルブ(7)が少なくとも部分的に開口するように実施されるステップと、
を含み、
前記吸気行程中に空気が開口した吸気バルブを介してシリンダへ流入し、該空気が次の圧縮行程中に開口した吸気バルブを介してシリンダから流出するようになっているとともに、前記膨張行程中に排気ガスが開口した排気バルブを介してシリンダへ流入し、該排気ガスが次の排気行程中に開口した排気バルブを介してシリンダから流出するようになっていることを特徴とする内燃エンジンの運転方法。 - 作動停止シリンダ(12)の前記排気バルブ(7)の開口時点を、該シリンダ(12)が作動している時の該排気バルブ(7)の開口時点と比較して早期化したステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃エンジンの運転方法。
- 前記膨張行程中に少なくとも一つの排気バルブ(7)を開口するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃エンジンの運転方法。
- 前記エンジン(10)がディーゼルエンジンであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の内燃エンジンの運転方法。
