Description
内燃機関の排気通路内を流れる排気ガスの一部を利用して加熱ガスを生成する加熱ガス生成装置であって、酸化機能を有する触媒と、該触媒に燃料を供給する燃料供給ノズルと、ヒータとを有する加熱ガス生成装置と、
前記加熱ガスによって加熱されるべく、前記加熱ガス生成装置の下流側に設けられた選択還元型NOx触媒と、
前記NOx触媒の入ガス温を検出する入ガス温センサと、
前記NOx触媒の入ガス温を推定する入ガス温推定手段と、
前記加熱ガス生成装置の少なくとも前記燃料供給ノズルの作動時に、前記入ガス温センサにより検出された実際の入ガス温と前記入ガス温推定手段により推定された推定入ガス温とを取得し、これら取得した値の比較結果に基づいて、前記加熱ガス生成装置の前記触媒のHC被毒及び劣化の一方を検出する診断手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置が提供される。

Claims (7)
- 内燃機関の排気通路内を流れる排気ガスの一部を利用して加熱ガスを生成する加熱ガス生成装置であって、酸化機能を有する触媒と、該触媒に燃料を供給する燃料供給ノズルと、ヒータとを有する加熱ガス生成装置と、
前記加熱ガスによって加熱されるべく、前記加熱ガス生成装置の下流側に設けられた排ガス浄化ユニットと、
前記排ガス浄化ユニットの入ガス温を検出する入ガス温センサと、
前記排ガス浄化ユニットの入ガス温を推定する入ガス温推定手段と、
前記加熱ガス生成装置の少なくとも前記燃料供給ノズルの作動時に、前記入ガス温センサにより検出された実際の入ガス温と前記入ガス温推定手段により推定された推定入ガス温とを取得し、これら取得した値の比較結果に基づいて、前記加熱ガス生成装置の前記触媒のHC被毒及び劣化の一方を検出する診断手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記排ガス浄化ユニットが、選択還元型NOx触媒からなる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記排ガス浄化ユニットが、酸化触媒またはパティキュレートフィルタからなる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記診断手段は、先ず前記触媒のHC被毒及び劣化の何れかが発生していることを検出し、次いで所定の被毒回復処理を実行した後、前記触媒のHC被毒及び劣化の一方を特定して検出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記診断手段は、前記加熱ガス生成装置の少なくとも前記燃料供給ノズルの作動時、第1のタイミングにて取得した前記実際の入ガス温と前記推定入ガス温との差が所定値を超えているときに前記触媒のHC被毒及び劣化の何れかが発生していることを検出し、次いで前記燃料供給ノズルを停止し且つ前記ヒータを作動させて被毒回復処理を実行した後、再度少なくとも前記燃料供給ノズルを作動させ、当該作動時における第2のタイミングにて取得した前記実際の入ガス温と前記推定入ガス温との差が所定値を超えているときに前記触媒の劣化を検出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記診断手段は、前記第1のタイミングにて取得した前記実際の入ガス温と前記推定入ガス温との差に基づいて前記被毒回復処理の時間を設定する
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記入ガス温推定手段が、前記触媒に対する入熱量と出熱量との差の積算値に基づいて前記触媒の蓄熱量を算出すると共に、前記触媒の蓄熱量と、前記触媒に対する入ガス流量と、排ガス流量とに基づいて前記入ガス温を推定する
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
