Claims (5)
- 画素電極と、前記画素電極とは異なる電圧が印加されるとともに少なくともその一部で前記画素電極と対向する下層配線と、を有する第1電極基板と、
前記画素電極に対向する対向電極を有する第2電極基板と、
前記第1電極基板および前記第2電極基板間に挟持されているとともに、電源投入前には第1状態であって、表示動作時には前記第1状態とは異なる第2状態となる液晶層と、を備え、
前記画素電極は、前記第1電極基板側から入射する光を前記液晶層へ透過する透過電極部と、前記第2電極基板側から前記液晶層に入射した光を反射する反射電極部と、を有し、
前記反射電極部は、前記対向電極と対向する凸部を有し、
前記下層配線と対向した前記反射電極部の端部には、前記凸部近傍に前記下層配線と前記反射電極部との間に横電界を形成するように設けられた横電界形成部が配置された液晶表示装置。 - 前記横電界形成部は、前記凸部の一部を含むように電極が除去された電極除去部である請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記横電界形成部は、前記凸部の一部に電極が延びて配置された電極延出部である請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記下層配線は、前記画素電極との間に補助容量を形成するように配置された補助容量線である請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1状態はスプレイ配向状態であり、前記第2状態はベンド配向状態である請求項1乃至請求項3、および請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
