Description
表1に示す蛍光体及びガラス材料を表1に示す配合割合で用いて、波長変換部材を作製した。具体的には、表1に示す蛍光体とガラス材料を混合機によって乾式で十分に混合し、この原料を、るつぼに詰め、大気雰囲気中にて540℃で20分間焼成し、所定の形状の部材に成形して波長変換部材を得た。なお、参考例3については、540℃で20分間加熱し焼成した。
CASBN蛍光体:Ca0.99Al1.00Si1.00B0.10N3.1:Eu0.01
また、ガラス材料としては、以下に示す本発明の範囲内の組成である「本発明ガラス」と、本発明の範囲外の組成である「比較ガラス」を用いた。なお、ガラス組成における%はモル%である。
比較ガラス:11%SiO2−43%B2O3−11Na2O−35%ZnO
「硝酸洗浄」と記載したものについては、LAG蛍光体を硝酸溶液(濃度約2%)を用いて洗浄処理した。具体的には、所定の容器内に純水10リットルに希硝酸(60%)350gを添加し混合する。この中にLAG蛍光体を投入し攪拌する。「硝酸洗浄・Al2O3被覆」と記載したものについては、LAG蛍光体について上記の硝酸洗浄を行った後、Al2O3被覆処理を行った。Al2O3被覆処理は、具体的には、硝酸洗浄を行ったLAG蛍光体1000gに対し、Al2O3微粒子100gを加え、これらを高速攪拌混合した後、窒素の雰囲気下で1000℃、5時間アニール処理を行い被覆処理を行った。
「Al2O3被覆」と記載したものについては、CASBN蛍光体に、上記のLAG蛍光体のAl2O3被覆と同様にして、CASBN蛍光体300gに対し、Al2O3微粒子30gを添加して高速攪拌混合した後、窒素雰囲気下でアニール処理を行い、Al2O3被覆処理を行った。
得られた各波長変換部材について、発光色及び発光強度を評価した。
実施例2及び参考例2の波長変換部材について、発光スペクトルを測定した。波長460nmの励起光を波長変換部材に照射して、波長変換部材を通過して出てくる光の発光スペクトルを測定した。測定結果を図1に示す。
図2は、本発明の発光装置の一実施例を示す模式図である。光源10内には、レーザーダイオード(LD)からなる発光素子11が設けられており、発光素子11から出射された光1は、レンズ13を通り、出射部12から出射される。出射部12には、光ファイバー20の一方端が接続されており、光ファイバー20の他方端である出力部21には、波長変換部材30が取り付けられている。発光素子11は、GaN系の半導体素子であり、405nm近傍の光が出射される。この光は、波長変換部材30において、波長が変換され、白色光2が波長変換部材30から照射される。

Claims (4)
- 光源と、光源から出射された光が波長変換する波長変換部材とを有する発光装置であって、
前記波長変換部材が、洗浄処理及び/または被覆処理を施した蛍光体を、
モル百分率で、SiO2:30〜50%、Li2O:0〜15%、Na2O:0〜10%、K2O:0〜10%、Li2O+Na2O+K2O:20〜30%、B2O3:5〜15%、MgO:0〜10%、BaO:0〜10%、CaO:0〜10%、SrO:0〜10%、Al2O3:0〜10%、ZnO:0〜15%、TiO2:10〜20%、Nb2O5:1〜5%、La2O3:0〜5%、TiO2+Nb2O5+La2O3:11〜20%の組成のガラス材料中に含有させたことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 前記蛍光体として、一般式M3(Al1−vGav)5O12:Ce(式中、Mは、Lu、Y、Gd、及びTbから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、vは、0≦v≦0.8を満たす。)で表わされる、セリウム(Ce)で付活されたアルミン酸塩蛍光体が含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光装置。
- 前記蛍光体として、一般式M’wAlxSiyBzN((2/3)w+x+(4/3)y+z):Eu(式中、M’は、Mg、Ca、Sr及びBaから選ばれる少なくとも一種であり、w、x、y、及びzは、0.5≦w≦3、x=1、0.5≦y≦3、0≦z≦0.5を満たす。)で表わされる、ユーロピウム(Eu)で付活された窒化物蛍光体が含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の発光装置。
- 前記光源は、発光ダイオードまたはレーザーダイオードであることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
