Description
Claims (12)
- 面内に設けられた複数の画素を有するイメージング層;及び
該イメージング層中のそれぞれ異なる画素からの光を、前記面の法線又は前記法線に近い方向である中間方向から見て左と右へ投影することで、それぞれ異なる像が前記中間方向の左と右に表示される、複数の光学素子を有する導光層;
を有し、
各画素は、前記中間方向から離れた視野角でよりも前記中間方向に近い視野角で低いコントラスト及び/又は明るさを有することで、前記の中間方向の左と右に表示されるそれぞれ異なる像間であって、前記それぞれ異なる像が交差する場所でのクロストークを減少させるように構成されたLCD素子を有する、
ディスプレイ素子。 - 前記LCD素子が非ツイステッド液晶セルで、平行なラビング方向を有する後方配向層及び前方配向層を有する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記LCD素子が、互いに交差している、後方偏光子と前方偏光子との間に設けられている非ツイステッド液晶セルである、請求項2に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記LCD素子が、互いに平行な、後方偏光子と前方偏光子との間に設けられている非ツイステッド液晶セルである、請求項2に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記後方配向層の前記ラビング方向が前記後方偏光子の偏光方向に平行である、請求項2から4に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記後方配向層の前記ラビング方向が前記後方偏光子の偏光方向に垂直である、請求項2から4に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記LCD素子がツイステッド液晶セルで、かつ前記中間方向で450nm未満のリターデーション値を有する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記液晶セルの液晶材料からなる前記液晶セルの中央面の配向子が、ユーザーから見て垂直である、請求項7に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記LCDセルが、0Vよりも大きな最小絶対駆動電圧で駆動される、請求項7又は8に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記光学素子がシリンドリカルレンズを有する、請求項1から9に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記光学素子がバリヤ中の垂直スリットを有する、請求項1から9に記載のディスプレイ素子。
- 前記中間方向が前記イメージング層の法線と一致する、請求項1から11に記載のディスプレイ素子。
