Description
・センサ表面全体に同時に起こる位置および圧力情報を提供する。したがって、ユーザインターフェース設計で更なる柔軟性を提供する。
・圧力情報は、制御入力を有効化あるいは無効化するための更なる機械的スイッチを必要としうる現存するタッチセンサと比べた際(AppleコンピュータのiPod(登録商標)は、例えば、そのようなホールドスイッチを有する。)、不慮の制御調整を避ける事が容易にできる。
・本発明の触覚入力装置をもってすると、スクロール動作や所望の対象の選択のような異なる動作を示すために、同じ領域内において異なる圧力レベルを使えるので、別個のスイッチは必要ではない。
・タッチスクリーンに必要とされる様な位置キャリブレーションは必要ではないので、位置誤差ドリフトは最小化される。
・本発明は、一つ以上の接触位置を解像できる本質的な能力を持ち、単一接触出力装置と比べてよりしっかりとしたユーザの意図の理解を提供する。
・そして最後に、多数の伝導性または非伝導性物質同様、指を使って機能する。
Claims (8)
- 第1電気的接続手段を有する第1電極層と、
第2電気的接続手段を有する柔軟な第2電極層と、
少なくとも前記第1電極層または第2電極層の一方に含まれる一つ以上の電極と、
前記第2電極層から前記第1電極層を分離し、間に空隙を形成する圧縮可能な誘電材料を形成する複数の幾何学的要素を含む圧縮可能な誘電構造と、
前記第1および第2電気的接続手段に接続され、前記第1および第2電極層の電極間でリアルタイムに静電容量を計測するように構成される制御手段と、
を有し、
前記圧縮可能な誘電体構造の前記幾何学的要素は、所定のカラム強度を有し、ユーザへ触覚フィードバックを提供するため、所定の閾値を超えて装置に圧力が与えられるとつぶれる再構成可能な触覚入力装置。 - 前記幾何学的記要素は、反復するパターンに配列されており、前記入力装置は該装置の少なくとも一部上において均一な圧縮率を有する請求項1に記載の入力装置。
- 前記空隙は大気空間へ通気されている請求項1または2に記載の入力装置。
- 前記空隙は、密閉され、互いに接続されている請求項1または2に記載の入力装置。
- 前記圧縮可能な誘電体構造の前記幾何学的要素の形状は、ストライプ、カラム、湾曲、正多角形およびドットからなる群から選択される請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の入力装置。
- 前記圧縮可能な誘電体構造は、弾性材料から形成されている請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の入力装置。
- 前記圧縮可能な誘電体構造の前記幾何学的要素は、一度圧力が所定の閾値を超えると、圧縮の第1の線形局面に続く圧縮の第2の非線形局面を示す請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の入力装置。
- 前記圧縮可能な構造体の前記幾何学的要素は、前記装置に与えられた圧縮が一度所定の閾値を超えるとつぶれる点を定義するへこみを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の入力装置。
