Description
以下に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。
1. 神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減させた状態で患者において神経ブロックを実施するためのシステムであって、
(1)麻酔薬貯蔵区画および出力端を有する麻酔薬送達装置と;
(2)入力端および出力端を有する麻酔薬送達装置であって、ブロックされるべき神経の近傍において、前記患者に対して麻酔薬を送達するために、前記出力端を前記患者に挿入することができる麻酔薬送達装置と;
(3)麻酔薬送達装置の出力端と麻酔薬送達装置の入力端とを接続する麻酔薬通路を有するチューブであって、前記麻酔薬貯蔵区画からの麻酔薬を、前記患者に対して、麻酔薬送達装置の前記出力端を経由して送達することができるチューブと;
(4)麻酔薬通路に沿ってかつ麻酔薬通路と圧力感知によって連通している圧力感知装置であって、神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減するために、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、麻酔薬の圧力を監視する圧力感知装置と
を含むことを特徴とするシステム。
2. 前記麻酔薬送達装置は、注射器であることを特徴とする1.に記載のシステム。
3. 前記麻酔薬送達装置は、神経ブロック針であることを特徴とする1.に記載のシステム。
4. 前記麻酔薬送達装置は、神経ブロック針であることを特徴とする2.に記載のシステム。
5. 前記チューブは、軟質チューブであることを特徴とする3.に記載のシステム。
6. 前記チューブは、軟質チューブであることを特徴とする4.に記載のシステム。
7. 前記圧力感知装置は、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、少なくとも正常および異常な圧力の視覚的な検出を可能とすることを特徴とする1.に記載のシステム。
8. 前記圧力感知装置は、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、少なくとも正常および異常な圧力の視覚的な検出を可能とすることを特徴とする2.に記載のシステム。
9. 前記圧力感知装置は、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、少なくとも正常および異常な圧力の視覚的な検出を可能とすることを特徴とする3.に記載のシステム。
10. 前記圧力感知装置は、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、少なくとも正常および異常な圧力の視覚的な検出を可能とすることを特徴とする4.に記載のシステム。
11. 前記圧力感知装置は、麻酔薬送達の最中において、麻酔薬の圧力が予め決定されたレベルを超えて増加すると、麻酔薬送達を妨げることを特徴とする自動遮断装置をさらに備えることを特徴とする1.に記載のシステム。
12. 前記圧力感知装置は、麻酔薬送達の最中において、麻酔薬の圧力が予め決定されたレベルを超えて増加すると、麻酔薬送達を妨げることを特徴とする自動遮断装置をさらに備えることを特徴とする6.に記載のシステム。
13. 神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減させた状態で患者に対して神経ブロックを実施する方法であって、
(a)(1)麻酔薬貯蔵区画および出力端を有する麻酔薬送達装置と;
(2)ブロックされるべき神経の近傍において、前記患者に対して麻酔薬を送達するために、前記出力端を前記患者に挿入することができることを特徴とする、入力端と出力端を有する麻酔薬送達装置と;
(3)前記麻酔薬貯蔵区画からの麻酔薬を、前記患者に対して、麻酔薬送達装置の前記出力端を経由して送達することができることを特徴とする、麻酔薬送達装置の出力端と麻酔薬送達装置の入力端とを接続する麻酔薬通路を有することを特徴とするチューブと;
(4)神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減するために、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、麻酔薬の圧力を監視することを特徴とする、麻酔薬通路に沿っておよび麻酔薬通路を有する圧力感知ネットワーク中に配置された圧力感知装置と;
を含む、神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減させた状態で前記患者に前記神経ブロックを実施するためのシステムを提供する工程と;
(b)ブロックされるべき前記神経の近傍へ、前記麻酔薬送達装置の出力端を挿入する工程と;
(c)前記麻酔薬の送達を開始する工程と;
(d)前記麻酔薬の送達の最中において、前記麻酔薬の圧力を監視する工程と;
(e)前記圧力が正常な範囲内にある限り、前記麻酔薬の送達を継続する工程と;
(f)もし、前記圧力が異常な範囲にまで増加した場合には、適切な是正措置をとることができるように、前記麻酔薬の送達を中断する工程と;
(g)もし、工程(f)において、前記麻酔薬の送達を中断した場合には、前記適切な是正措置を行って、そして前記麻酔薬の送達を継続する工程と;
(f)前記麻酔薬の送達が完了または前記麻酔薬の送達を停止するまで、工程(d)から(g)までを繰り返す工程と;
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
14. 前記麻酔薬送達装置は、注射器であり、また前記麻酔薬送達装置は、神経ブロック針であることを特徴とする13.に記載の方法。
15. 前記チューブは、軟質チューブであることを特徴とする13.に記載の方法。
16. 前記チューブは、軟質チューブであることを特徴とする14.に記載の方法。
17. 前記圧力感知装置は、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、少なくとも正常および異常な圧力の視覚的な検出を可能とすることを特徴とする13.に記載の方法。
18. 前記圧力感知装置は、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、少なくとも正常および異常な圧力の視覚的な検出を可能とすることを特徴とする14.に記載の方法。
19. 手術者および助手は、前記手術者が適切な是正措置をとることができるように、前記助手が前記圧力を監視および前記異常な範囲にある圧力を報告するようにして、前記患者に対して、前記神経ブロックを実施することを特徴とする13.に記載の方法。

Claims (11)
- 神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減させた状態で患者において神経ブロックを実施するためのシステムであって、
(1)麻酔薬貯蔵区画および出力端を有する麻酔薬送達装置と;
(2)入力端および出力端を有する神経ブロック針であって、ブロックされるべき神経の近傍において、前記患者に対して麻酔薬を送達するために、前記出力端を前記患者に挿入することができる神経ブロック針と;
(3)麻酔薬送達装置の出力端と神経ブロック針の入力端とを接続する麻酔薬通路を有するチューブであって、前記麻酔薬貯蔵区画からの麻酔薬を、前記患者に対して、神経ブロック針の前記出力端を経由して送達することができるチューブと;
(4)麻酔薬通路に沿って配置されかつ麻酔薬通路の圧力を感知すべく麻酔薬通路と連通している圧力感知装置であって、圧力の増加によって動かされる圧力表示ピンを含み、約1.83kg/cm2(25psi)までの圧力を測定可能であり、神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減するために、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、使用者により麻酔薬の圧力が連続して監視、制御され、麻酔薬送達の最中において、約1.10kg/cm2(15psi)までの測定圧力は正常操作を示し、麻酔薬送達の最中において、約1.83kg/cm2(25psi)にほぼ等しい測定圧力は異常操作を示し、使用者により麻酔薬送達が停止されるか是正措置が行われることを示す圧力感知装置と

(2)入力端および出力端を有する神経ブロック針であって、ブロックされるべき神経の近傍において、前記患者に対して麻酔薬を手動で送達するために、前記出力端を前記患者に挿入することができる神経ブロック針と;
(3)麻酔薬送達装置の出力端と神経ブロック針の入力端とを接続する麻酔薬通路を有するチューブであって、前記麻酔薬貯蔵区画からの麻酔薬を、前記患者に対して、神経ブロック針の前記出力端を経由して送達することができるチューブと;
(4)麻酔薬通路に接続されかつ麻酔薬通路の圧力を感知すべく麻酔薬通路と連通している圧力感知装置であって、圧力の増加によって動かされる圧力表示ピンを含み、約1.83kg/cm2(25psi)までの圧力を測定可能であり、神経細胞内注入の危険性を低減するために、前記患者に対する麻酔薬送達の最中において、使用者により麻酔薬の圧力が連続して監視、制御され、麻酔薬送達の最中において、約1.10kg/cm2(15psi)までの測定圧力は正常操作を示し、麻酔薬送達の最中において、約1.83kg/cm2(25psi)にほぼ等しい測定圧力は異常操作を示し、使用者により麻酔薬送達が停止されるか是正措置が行われることを示す圧力感知装置と
