Description
高い熱時溶解度、例えば90℃の基準温度で水中溶解度が少なくとも500g/l、好ましくは少なくとも1000g/lである。上限は臨界的でないが、通常15000g/l未満である;
熱時溶解度と冷時溶解度の差が大きい。すなわち、細分化デバイスにおける温度と冷ガス流の温度の差が大きい。前記溶解度は好ましくは少なくとも2倍、より好ましくは少なくとも3〜5倍の差がある。
粉末を篩にかけることにより測定する。
図3に示す装置を用いて測定する。
見かけ密度=装入した粉末の量(g)/見かけ容量(cm3)。
を用いて求める。
圧縮率=[圧縮密度−非圧縮密度]/(圧縮密度)
に従って求める。
耐摩耗性は100μmメッシュの篩を有するエアジェット篩(タイプAlpine 200 LS−N)を用いて実施した試験により測定する。
ビーズの内部多孔度は水銀ポロシメーターを用いて触媒D 4284−92についてのASTM規格に従って測定する。
メジアン直径(d50) 1350μm、
非圧縮見かけ密度 0.436、
圧縮見かけ密度 0.462、
耐摩耗性 99.5%、
(結晶性ヒドロキノンの圧縮率20.4%と比較して)圧縮率 5.6%、
内部多孔度 0.54cm3/g、
20℃でのアクリル酸中の溶解時間 10分(結晶性ヒドロキノンと同じ)、
20℃でのメチルメタクリレート中の溶解時間 1分45秒(結晶性ヒドロキノンでは3分)。
Claims (18)
- フェノール化合物の濃厚水溶液を熱時調製し、その溶液を液滴に細分化し、得られた液滴をガス流中で冷却してビーズに固化させ、その後前記ビーズを回収し、乾燥することを含む、90℃の基準温度で少なくとも500g/lの高い熱時溶解度を有し、熱時溶解度と冷時溶解度の差、すなわち細分化装置における温度と冷却ガス流の温度の差があり、この2つの操作温度間の溶解度は少なくとも2倍であり、メジアン直径(d 50 )で表す300〜2000μmの大きさを有し、水銀ポロシメーターを使用して決定される0.5〜0.75cm 3 /gの内部多孔度を有する、式(I):
(式中、R 1 はヒドロキシ基、アミノ基、炭素数1〜4のアルキル基または炭素数1〜4のアルコキシ基を表す。)で表されるフェノール化合物のビーズの製造方法。 - フェノール化合物の溶液をノズルに通して液滴を形成し、この液滴を冷ガスと向流させながらタワー中に落下させることにより液滴を固化させ、その後得られたビーズを回収することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- フェノール化合物の水溶液を少なくとも500g/lの濃度で調製する請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- フェノール化合物の水溶液を少なくとも1000g/lの濃度で調製する請求項3に記載の方法。
- 溶液の温度が80〜98℃である請求項3または4に記載の方法。
- 溶液の温度が85〜95℃である請求項5に記載の方法。
- 使用するノズルが単孔ノズル、または1〜3000個の孔を有する多孔ノズルである請求項2に記載の方法。
- 使用するノズルが50〜2000μmの直径を有する孔を含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 使用するノズルが固定ノズルである請求項7または8に記載の方法。
- 液滴を−30〜30℃の温度を有する窒素または酸素欠乏空気と接触させる請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 液滴のノズル出口から回収装置に達するまでの滞留時間が1〜10秒である請求項2から10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ビーズを流動床技術を用いて回収する請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- プリリングタワーの底部のフェノール化合物ビーズの組成が10〜50重量%の水及び50〜90重量%のフェノール化合物である請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- プリリングタワーの底部のヒドロキノンビーズの組成が25〜50重量%の水及び50〜75重量%のヒドロキノンである請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ビーズをガス流に曝す請求項1から14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 乾燥を流動床技術を用いて実施する請求項15に記載の方法。
- 乾燥後のフェノール化合物ビーズの組成が0.1〜1重量%の水及び99〜99.9重量%のフェノール化合物である請求項15または16に記載の方法。
- 乾燥後のフェノール化合物ビーズの組成が0.1〜0.6重量%の水及び99.4〜99.9重量%のフェノール化合物である請求項17に記載の方法。
