Claims (6)
- (a)光を伝送するコア部及び該コア部を取囲む板状のクラッド部を備える光導波路を接続する中継光コネクタであって、
(b)前記光導波路の光軸方向に延在する収容溝部を備え、前記光導波路が収容溝部内に収容されて固定された状態で、前記光軸方向と垂直方向に相対的に移動することによって相互に係合される一対のハウジングを有し、
(c)前記光導波路は、光軸方向に対して傾斜し、前記コア部を切断する傾斜面と、先端より後方においてコア部を横断するように形成された切除部と、先端から前記切除部までの先端残存部とを備え、
(d)前記傾斜面は前記切除部における光導波路の先端と反対側に形成され、
(e)前記一対のハウジングが相互に係合されると、前記光導波路は前記傾斜面同士が相反する向きになるように重なり合い、他方の光導波路の先端残存部が前記切除部より後方に当接し、
(f)前記コア部内を伝送される光は、2つの傾斜面で反射することを特徴とする中継光コネクタ。 - 前記ハウジングの各々は、同一の形状を備える請求項1に記載の中継光コネクタ。
- (a)前記傾斜面は前記光導波路の先端に形成され、
(b)該光導波路は、先端より後方において側方に突出する位置決め用耳部を備え、該位置決め用耳部が前記収容溝部の備える耳収容部に収容されることによって、ハウジングに対して位置決めされる請求項1に記載の中継光コネクタ。 - 前記先端残存部は、該先端残存部の先端に光導波路の位置決め用先端面を備え、該先端面をハウジングに当接させて位置決めされる請求項1に記載の中継光コネクタ。
- 前記先端残存部は収容溝部に接着される請求項1に記載の中継光コネクタ。
- 前記収容溝部は、接着剤を収容する収容穴を備える請求項5に記載の中継光コネクタ。
