Description
本発明は、また、酸機能性ポリマー結合剤と、前記ポリマーと水素結合錯体を形成することができる化合物とを含有するポリマー結合剤組成物で結合された結合ガラス繊維マットに関する。
他のエチレン性不飽和モノマーを、カルボキシルポリマーの形成において、全モノマーに基づいて約70重量%までのレベルで使用することもできる。他の面において、これらのエチレン性不飽和モノマーは約0.1〜約50重量%のレベルで使用することができる。これらのモノマーをこの分野において知られている方法で使用して、コポリマーの所望の性質を得ることができる。例えば、疎水性モノマーを使用して、不織布の耐水性を増加させることができる。
また、この分野において知られている連鎖移動剤を使用して、鎖長および分子量を調節することができる。星形ポリマーを製造できるように、連鎖移動剤は多官能価であることができる。
1つの態様において、カルボキシルポリマーは約1〜約5の範囲のpHを有することができる。他の態様において、カルボキシルポリマーは約2〜約4の範囲のpHを有することができる。好ましくは、pHは提供されるであろう危険分類のために2より大きい。
水素結合複合体/ポリマー結合剤の重量比は約1:99〜約99:1である。1つの面において、水素結合複合体/ポリマー結合剤の重量比は約1:20〜約20:1である。他の面において、水素結合複合体/ポリマー結合剤の重量比は約5:1〜約1:5である。
結合剤組成物は必要に応じて1種または複数のアジュバント、例えば、カップリング剤、色素、顔料、油、充填剤、熱安定剤、乳化剤、硬化剤、湿潤剤、殺生物剤、可塑剤、泡消剤、蝋、酵素、界面活性剤、剥離剤、腐蝕抑制剤、ガラスの浸出を最小とする添加剤、難燃剤、および滑剤と配合することができる。一般に、アジュバントはコポリマー結合剤の重量に基づいて20%より少ないレベルで添加される。
実施例1.
下記の配合物を一緒に混合して、絶縁サイジング樹脂を形成した。50 gのポリアクリル酸の50%固形分の溶液を26 gの列挙した架橋剤の50%溶液と配合して、76 gの50%固形分の不織布結合剤組成物を生成した。生ずるフィルムの強度を定量的に測定することによって、硬化を測定した。
試験プロトコルは次の通りであった。20 gの各溶液をPMP Petri皿の中に注ぎ、60℃に設定した強制通風炉の中に一夜配置した。次いで、フィルムを150℃に設定した強制通風炉の中に10分間配置することによって硬化した。冷却後、生ずるフィルムの硬化を物理的外観、柔軟性、および引張り強さにより評価した。
ガラス接着促進コモノマーを含有するコポリマー結合剤を次のようにして合成した:
実施例2A.
200 gの水および244 gのイソプロパノールを含有する反応器を85℃に加熱した。295 gのアクリル酸および4.1 gのN,N−ジメチルアクリルアミドを含有するモノマー溶液を、3.0時間かけて反応器に添加した。100 gの蒸留水中に15 gの過硫酸ナトリウムを含有する開始剤溶液を、3.5時間かけて反応器に同時に添加した。反応生成物をさらに1時間85℃に保持した。次いでイソプロパノールをディーン−スタークトラップにより蒸留した。
200 gの水および244 gのイソプロパノールを含有する反応器を85℃に加熱した。295 gのアクリル酸および5 gのビニルトリイソプロポキシシラン (GE Silicones、コネチカット州ウィルトンからCoatOSil(商標)として入手可能である) を含有するモノマー溶液を、3.0時間かけて反応器に添加した。100 gの蒸留水中に15 gの過硫酸ナトリウムを含有する開始剤溶液を、3.5時間かけて反応器に同時に添加した。

200 gの水および244 gのイソプロパノールを含有する反応器を85℃に加熱した。295 gのアクリル酸および5 gの4‐ビニルピリジンを含有するモノマー溶液を、3.0時間かけて反応器に添加した。100 gの蒸留水中に15 gの過硫酸ナトリウムを含有する開始剤溶液を、3.5時間かけて反応器に同時に添加した。反応生成物をさらに1時間85℃に保持した。次いでイソプロパノールをディーン−スタークトラップにより蒸留した。次いで、モリブデン酸ナトリウムの存在下にポリマーを過酸化水素で処理することによって、ビニルピリジン部分をアミンオキシドに酸化した。
25 gのポリアクリル酸 (Alco Chemical、テネシー州チャッタヌーガからAlcosperse(商標) 602A) 、および下記表2に詳述されている量の低粘度澱粉溶液を溶解することによって、溶液を調製した。溶液を10%に希釈し、そしてこれらの10%の澱粉を含有する溶液の粘度を測定した。比較として、トリエタノールアミンを含有する同様な溶液 (この分野において知られている普通の架橋剤) の粘度をまた測定した。
Claims (6)
- カルボキシルポリマーの30〜100重量%の量の1または複数のカルボン酸機能性モノマー単位を有するカルボキシルポリマーと、
多糖、ポリエチレンアミン、ポリエチレンイミンまたはそれらの混合物から選択される、カルボキシルポリマーと水素結合複合体を形成することができる少なくとも1種の化合物とを含んでなり、
前記カルボキシルポリマーは、置換アミドモノマー、シラノールモノマーまたはアミンオキシドモノマーから成る群から選択されるモノマーをさらに含んでなる、不織布結合剤組成物。 - 前記多糖が20〜90の水流動性を有する少なくとも1種の澱粉である、請求項1に記載の不織布結合剤組成物。
- 前記不織布結合剤組成物が、カルボキシルポリマーの重量に基づいて0〜25重量%の少なくとも1種の触媒をさらに含んでなる、請求項1に記載の不織布結合剤組成物。
- 前記カルボキシルポリマーが、0.1〜50重量%のエチレン性不飽和モノマーをさらに含んでなる、請求項1に記載の不織布結合剤組成物。
- 前記カルボキシルポリマーが、置換アミドモノマー、シラノールモノマーまたはアミンオキシドモノマーから成る群から選択されるモノマーを0.01〜10重量%含んでなる、請求項1に記載の不織布結合剤組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の不織布結合剤組成物を含んでなるガラス繊維サイジング組成物。
