Claims (8)
- ガス生成器(1)を備えるエアバッグにおいて、
上記ガス生成器の一端に径方向の流出開口(3)を備える拡散器(2)が配置され且つ該ガス生成器上に連結部分(19)が形成され、該ガス生成器上に拡散器(2)の上流において非金属製ガスランス(6、15)が固定され且つ該非金属製ガスランスが上記拡散器を同軸状に収容しており、上記非金属製ガスランス(6、15)は上記連結部分(19)に配置されたその軸線方向の端部において補強手段(5、18)を備えているか又は斯かる手段上に配置されており、該補強手段は、一方において、ガス生成器(1)の正常な動作の際に上記拡散器(2)のガスの流れ(4)を径方向の流出方向から軸線方向の流出方向に偏向させると共に上記連結部分(19)内においてガスランス(6、15)の温度に対する有効な補強を実現し、他方において、上記連結部分(19)に対する外部からの強力な温度の影響(8)を受け且つガス生成器(1)の自己着火が生じた際に上記補強手段(5、18)と共に前記ガスランス材料の破壊をもたらし、その結果、径方向から軸線方向へのガスの流れ(4)の偏向が中止される、エアバッグ装置。 - 上記補強手段(5)は、上記拡散器(2)と上記ガスランス(6)との間に配置された繊維材料、プラスチック、又は薄い金属シートのスリーブの形態であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 上記補強手段(5、18)は、温度の影響(8)を受けた際に、この外部の温度の影響(8)に起因してガス生成器(1)が意図することなしに自己着火する前において、外部熱源に起因して破壊される材料から構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 上記補強手段(5)は、その上記拡散器(2)に対向している側面が熱的には十分に断熱されているが機械的には特に安定しておらず且つその外側の側面が機械的には安定しているが特に温度に対する抵抗力を有していない複合材料として形成されることを特徴とする、請求項2又は3に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 上記補強手段(18)は上記ガスランス(15)内へのガスランス材料の折り込み部分として形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 上記補強手段(5、18)と上記ガスランス(6、15)の流入側の軸線方向の端部とは、結合固定手段によってガス生成器(1)の連結部分(19)に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 上記補強手段(5、18)は、縫製又は接着により前記ガスランス(6、15)の流入側の端部内に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 上記補強手段の長さは、上記拡散器(2)の径方向の流出開口を覆ってはいるが、これをわずかに超える程度を超過しては延長しないように選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
