Description
本発明は、基板に接着される場合に、常温加工ステップ(例えば、刻印するステップ、浮き彫りにするステップ、または押圧するステップ)に対応し得る再帰反射性フィルムを提供する。そのようにして、フィルムは、基板が英数字および/または他のしるしに対応する隆起したエリアを形成するように常温加工される再帰反射性の物品(例えば、ライセンスプレート)に組み込まれ得る。再帰反射性フィルムは、プリズム層を組み込み、それによって、特定の再帰反射性製品を開発する場合に、より広範囲な設計の柔軟性を可能にし、および/またはそれによって高度な再帰反射性能力を提供する。
ここに図面、最初に図1を参照すると、本発明にしたがう再帰反射性の物品10が示される。例示された物品は、例えば、乗用車などの自動車にはめ込まれ得るライセンスプレート10である。ライセンスプレート10は、バックグランドを形成する平面エリア12および英数字および/または他のしるしを形成する隆起したエリア14を含む。
Claims (4)
- 平面エリア(12)と隆起したエリア(14)とを有する再帰反射性の物品(10)であって、該物品(10)は、基板(20)と該基板(20)の前表面に接着された後表面を有する再帰反射性フィルム(30)とを備え、
該基板(20)は、該平面エリア(12)に対応する平面エリア(22)と、該隆起したエリア(14)に対応する隆起したエリア(24)とを有し、
該再帰反射性フィルム(30)は、該平面エリア(12)に対応する平面エリア(32)と、該隆起したエリア(14)に対応する隆起したエリア(34)とを有し、
該再帰反射性フィルム(30)は、該再帰反射性フィルム(30)の後表面上に形成された再帰反射性プリズムエレメント(60)を有するプリズム層(42)と、該プリズム層(42)の前面に位置するカバー層(40)とを備え、
該再帰反射性フィルム(30)は、少なくとも20%の伸び率を有し、
該基板(20)が30%未満の可視光透過率を有するか、および/または該プリズム層(42)の後部に位置している該フィルム(30)の層(44)が30%未満の可視光透過率を有し、該カバー層(40)の後表面は、不透明なパターン(70)を有するように予め印刷されている、再帰反射性の物品(10)。 - 前記平面エリア(12)は、バックグランドを形成し、前記隆起したエリア(14)は、しるしを形成している、請求項1に記載の再帰反射性の物品(10)。
- 請求項1に記載の再帰反射性の物品(10)を含むライセンスプレート(10)であって、前記基板(20)は、実質的に不透明なアルミニウム板である、ライセンスプレート(10)。
- 請求項1に記載の再帰反射性の物品(10)を製作する方法であって、
前記基板(20)の前表面が前記再帰反射性フィルム(30)の後表面に接着されるように、前記隆起したエリア(24)の形成に先行して、該基板(20)を作り、前記隆起したエリア(34)の形成に先行して、該再帰反射性フィルム(30)を作ることと、
刻印すること、または浮き彫りにすること、または押圧することによって、該基板/フィルム作りを常温加工変形することにより、該隆起したエリア(24/34)を形成することと
を包含する、方法。
