Description
この発明の実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置について図1から図3までを参照しながら説明する。図1は、この発明の実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置の構成を示す側面図である。なお、以降では、各図中、同一符号は同一又は相当部分を示す。
Claims (4)
- 液晶パネルと、
側面から見た断面が三角形のバックライトユニットと、
前記バックライトユニットの厚さが薄い側で前記液晶パネルに接続され前記バックライトユニットの背面に設けられた回路基板と、
前記液晶パネルの温度が低い場合には、前記液晶パネルを加温する液晶温度制御回路とを備え、
前記液晶温度制御回路は、
前記液晶パネルに設けられ、前記液晶パネルの温度を検出する温度センサと、
前記回路基板に設けられ、赤外線を前記バックライトユニットへ放射する複数の第1の赤外線LEDと、
前記回路基板に設けられ、制御信号に基づき前記複数の第1の赤外線LEDを駆動するLEDドライバと、
前記回路基板に設けられ、前記温度センサにより検出された前記液晶パネルの温度が設定制御温度の下限値よりも低い場合には、前記複数の第1の赤外線LEDをONさせるためのON制御信号を前記LEDドライバへ送る制御回路とを有する
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記バックライトユニット及び前記回路基板の間に挿入され、前記バックライトユニットの背面全体に設けられ、前記バックライトユニットを介して熱を前記液晶パネルに伝える熱伝導シートをさらに備え、
前記赤外線LEDは、赤外線を、前記バックライトユニットの代わりに、前記熱伝導シートへ放射して発熱させる
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記回路基板に接続され、前記熱伝導シートの背面に設けられ、かつ、複数の第2の赤外線LEDが設けられた補助回路基板をさらに備え、
前記制御回路は、前記温度センサにより検出された前記液晶パネルの温度が設定制御温度の下限値よりも低い場合には、前記複数の第2の赤外線LEDをONさせるためのON制御信号を前記LEDドライバへ送り、
前記LEDドライバは、ON制御信号に基づき前記複数の第2の赤外線LEDをONする
ことを特徴とする請求項2記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記バックライトユニットの厚さが薄い側に設けられた前記第1の赤外線LEDの個数よりも、前記バックライトユニットの厚さが厚い側に設けられた前記第2の赤外線LEDの個数が多い
ことを特徴とする請求項3記載の液晶表示装置。
