Description
上部と下部とからなる管本体を有し、主として下部が光透過部材で構成されるとともに、前記管本体の内部に管軸方向に冷陰極発光体が延設された照明装置であり、前記上部と下部とからなる管本体は、主として光透過部材で構成され断面が略U字状でその断面が一定の長尺材からなる前記下部と、筒状体であり断面が一定の長尺材からなる前記上部とが長手方向に延びる溝で互いに嵌合されるように一体構造で構成され、前記管本体の端部には、ソケットに挿入される2本の電極が貫通して設けられた端縁封止体が固定されるようになっており、該端縁封止体は、係止爪が外向きに張出すように設けられた片がその裏面側に延びる構造を有し、さらに前記筒状体には少なくとも一個の係止溝が貫通形成されており、前記端縁封止体の前記係止爪が前記筒状体の前記係止溝に前記筒状体の内側から圧入係止されていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、発光効率が高くかつ使用寿命が長い冷陰極発光体の光源を利用する構造になっているため、蛍光ランプ管と同様、下部の光透過部材を介して広い領域を照明できる照明装置を提供できるうえ、前記上部と下部とからなる管本体における前記上部が筒状体の構造になっているため、照明装置取り付け時などに生じる管本体に働く捻り力に対して、前記上部が変形を抑制し、効果的に管本体のねじり変形を防止するように働く。
特に、管本体の長手方向両端を端縁封止体で固定するのみで、上部の筒状体の強度を生かして強固な照明装置を構成できる。また端縁封止体には前記した電極が設けられているため、組み付けと同時に電極を備えた管本体が得られることになる。
前記筒状体の底面が管本体を長手方向に上下に分離する仕切体を構成し、前記仕切体の下面位置には前記下部の光透過部材に向けて冷陰極発光体の光を反射する光反射部材が設けられ、該光反射部材によって前記仕切体の下方位置に管軸方向に延設された複数の冷陰極発光体からの光を、下部の光透過部材に向けて反射できるようになっていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、前記上部を構成する筒状体の底面を光反射部材が位置する仕切体として利用できるため、光反射部材の位置決めが容易になるばかりか照明装置における管本体の構造も簡素化できる。
前記筒状体は断面一定の長尺材であり、該筒状体の下方に長手方向に走る溝が設けられ、該溝に対して光透過部材の断面略U字状の両上端部に内向きに延びる爪部が係合するように連結されていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、筒状体と光透過部材とが上下方向に分離し辛い構造となるため、管本体に働く捻り力に対して、前記筒状体が変形を抑制し、より効果的に管本体のねじり変形を防止するように働く。
前記管本体内には、管本体内の長手方向に移動調整可能な、冷陰極発光体を長手方向に向けて把持する把持部を有する発光体保持片を備えていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、発光体保持片は、管本体内を延びる冷陰極発光体を支持し、移動時や大きな揺れに対して管本体内の冷陰極発光体を保護する働きをする。特に長手方向にこの発光体保持片を移動設置できることから、管本体や冷陰極発光体の長さ条件等に応じて、冷陰極発光体の一番振れの激しくなるような位置を特定して揺れに対する対処が可能となる。

Claims (4)
- 上部と下部とからなる管本体を有し、主として下部が光透過部材で構成されるとともに、前記管本体の内部に管軸方向に冷陰極発光体が延設された照明装置であり、前記上部と下部とからなる管本体は、主として光透過部材で構成され断面が略U字状でその断面が一定の長尺材からなる前記下部と、筒状体であり断面が一定の長尺材からなる前記上部とが長手方向に延びる溝で互いに嵌合されるように一体構造で構成され、前記管本体の端部には、ソケットに挿入される2本の電極が貫通して設けられた端縁封止体が固定されるようになっており、該端縁封止体は、係止爪が外向きに張出すように設けられた片がその裏面側に延びる構造を有し、さらに前記筒状体には少なくとも一個の係止溝が貫通形成されており、前記端縁封止体の前記係止爪が前記筒状体の前記係止溝に前記筒状体の内側から圧入係止されていることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 前記筒状体の底面が管本体を長手方向に上下に分離する仕切体を構成し、前記仕切体の下面位置には前記下部の光透過部材に向けて冷陰極発光体の光を反射する光反射部材が設けられ、該光反射部材によって前記仕切体の下方位置に管軸方向に延設された複数の冷陰極発光体からの光を、下部の光透過部材に向けて反射できるようになっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記筒状体は断面一定の長尺材であり、該筒状体の下方に長手方向に走る溝が設けられ、該溝に対して光透過部材の断面略U字状の両上端部に内向きに延びる爪部が係合するように連結されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の照明装置。
- 前記管本体内には、管本体内の長手方向に冷陰極発光体を長手方向に向けて把持する把持部を有する発光体保持片を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の照明装置。
