Description
2)溝壁のトレッド法線方向に対する角度(溝壁角度)を大きくすることは、溝底面の曲率半径を小さくする為、応力集中が発生しやすくなり、クラックが発生しやすくなる。
3)石噛み防止用突起は、従来、タイヤ全周にわたり配されている為、磨耗が石噛み防止用突起まで進展するとユーザーはタイヤが使用可能末期にまで磨耗したと感じる為、製品として早期磨耗の印象を与える。
4)ジグザグ状にタイヤ周方向に延びるリブ溝においては、ジグザグ状に折れ曲がる折れ曲がり部に石噛みが多く発生し、直線部にはあまり石噛みはみられない。また、ショルダー主溝より、センター主溝の方が石噛みし易い。
5)従って、溝幅、溝深さや溝壁角度の調整をしても、依然として石噛みが起こりうる。また、タイヤ全周に石噛み防止用突起を配したのでは3)の懸念が残る。
本発明の効果を確かめるために、本発明者は、上記実施形態の空気入りタイヤ10の一例(以下、実施例のタイヤという)、及び、従来の空気入りタイヤの二例(以下、従来例1のタイヤ、従来例2のタイヤという)を用意し、実車走行による摩耗量を測定し、耐石噛み性とタイヤ寿命とを評価した。
また、本発明者は、実施例のタイヤ、従来例1のタイヤ、従来例2のタイヤについて、それぞれ、正規リムに組み込み後、車両(2D4)にドライブ装着とし、正規荷重、正規内圧にて実地走行し、タイヤ赤道面CLのゴム部分が完全に摩耗したとユーザーが判断したときのショルダー主溝の残溝深さを測定した。本試験でも、何れのタイヤについても、車両におけるタイヤ装着位置を固定するとともに車両間でローテーションを行った。また、5回の測定を行い、平均値を残溝深さとした。各タイヤの残溝深さを表2に示す。

Claims (4)
- タイヤ周方向にジグザグ状に延びる複数本の主溝をトレッド部に有する空気入りタイヤにおいて、
少なくともタイヤ赤道面に最も近い主溝では、ジグザグ状に折れ曲がる折れ曲がり部の溝底にのみ石噛み防止用突起を配置するとともに、隣り合う前記折れ曲がり部同士を接続している主溝部分の溝壁のトレッド法線方向に対する角度を、前記折れ曲がり部の溝壁のトレッド法線方向に対する角度よりも大きくしたことを特徴とする空気入りタイヤ。 - 前記主溝部分の溝壁のトレッド法線方向に対する角度を15〜20度の範囲としたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記主溝部分のトレッド表面における溝幅をW、前記主溝部分の溝深さをhとして、W/hを0.8〜1.2の範囲としたことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記主溝部分の溝壁のトレッド法線方向に対する角度が、前記折れ曲がり部から前記主溝部分に沿った2.0mm以内の範囲で変化していることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか記載の空気入りタイヤ。
