Description
Claims (9)
- 接触面(2)と、上側および下側の側面(3,4)とを少なくとも含み、
前記両側面(3,4)の領域の少なくとも一方が、少なくとも部分的に台形状に形成されているとともに、前記側面の、少なくとも台形状に形成された領域(7,8,9,10)には、電気めっきされた保護層(12,13)が設けられ、
前記接触面(2)は、いわゆる高速酸素燃料溶射法(HVOF)にしたがって形成された被覆層(11)を有し、該被覆層(11)は、多孔率が5%未満であるとともに、軸方向および周方向に測った表面粗さがRk<0.12μmである、ピストンリング。 - 前記被覆層(11)は、Rk<0.10μm、特にRk<0.08μmの表面粗さを有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記被覆層(11)は炭化物材料を主体として構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記被覆層(11)は、WCおよび/またはTiCおよび/またはCrCを主体として構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または3に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記電気めっきされた保護層(12,13)がクロムを主体として構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記クロム層(12,13)の層厚が1から20μmの間であることを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のピストンリング。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のピストンリングを製造する方法において、
複数の前記ピストンリングのブランクを一まとめに挟み込んで固定し、複数の前記ピストンリングのブランクの前記接触面(2)に、いわゆるHVOF法にしたがって熱溶射による前記被覆層(11)を形成し、複数の前記ピストンリングを1つ1つに分離し、該ピストンリングの、少なくとも1つの前記側面(3,4)の領域を、必要に応じて台形状に加工し、続いて前記側面の、少なくとも台形状に形成された領域(7,8,9,10)に電気めっきによる保護層(12,13)を形成することを特徴とする、
ピストンリングを製造する方法。 - 前記被覆層(11)の形成時に、該被覆層(11)の多孔率を5%未満、軸方向に測った表面粗さをRk<0.10μmに調整することを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記側面の、台形状に形成された各領域(7,8,9,10)に、1から20μmの層厚の、均一な厚さのクロム層(12,13)を形成することを特徴とする、請求項7または8に記載の方法。
