Description
レーザー発振器から1ショットのレーザー光が発射される。レーザー光は電気シャッターにより所望の微小幅パルスのレーザー光に変換されて150μm未満の所望の針径より6〜20μm太い針材の端面に照射される。針材のレーザー光に照射された部分は、瞬間的に高温に達し、昇華して所望の径と深さの穴が形成される。所望の針径より一定量太い針材に穴明けするため肉厚が薄くなって熱容量が小さくなることがないため、穴曲がりや穴抜け等が起こることがない。その後、外径を化学研磨あるいは電解研磨などにより研磨し、所望の針径のアイレス縫合針とする。このときの研磨量を所望の針径より太くした6〜20μmとすることで、研磨後の仕上がりを良好な状態にすることができる。
レーザー発振器から1ショットのレーザー光が発射される。レーザー光は電気シャッターにより全パルス幅が35μs以下のレーザー光に変換されて所望のレーザーとなって針材の端面に照射される。針材のレーザー光に照射された部分は、瞬間的に高温に達し、昇華する。微小幅パルスのレーザー光の照射時間が35μs以下なので、穴抜けや穴曲がりを起こすことなく、所望の径と深さの穴が形成される
レーザー発振器から1ショットのレーザー光が発射される。レーザー光は電気シャッターにより微小パルス幅のレーザー光に変換されて、針材の端面に照射される。微小パルスの1発目ないし2発目で針の端面を溶かして表面を均一にし、続く微小パルスで穴あけを行う。
図1は本発明のアイレス縫合針の製造方法において、縫合針の端面に穴をあける加工装置10の構成を示す図である。
図1に示す加工装置で穴あけ加工をした試験例を以下に記載する。ただし、以下に記載するパルス幅とは、図2、図3に示すTsである。また、すべての試験例において、針材径D=160μm、縫合針径D0=140μm、穴径dは50μm、穴の深さh=500μmである。

Claims (2)
- ステンレス鋼製アイレス縫合針の端面に、縫合糸の一端を挿入してかしめ固定するための穴を形成して製造するアイレス縫合針の製造方法において、
150μm未満の所望の縫合針の針径より6〜20μm太い針材の端面に、レーザー光の1ショットの内の出力の安定している部分から形成した複数の微小幅パルスであって全パルス幅が35μs以下のレーザー光を照射することによって穴あけをし、その後、前記所望の針径より太い部分を除去することを特徴とする、アイレス縫合針の製造方法。 - ステンレス鋼製アイレス縫合針の端面に、縫合糸の一端を挿入してかしめ固定するための穴を形成して製造するアイレス縫合針の製造方法において、
前記穴を、レーザー光の1ショットの内の出力の安定している部分から形成した複数の微小幅パルスであって全パルス幅が35μs以下のレーザー光を、所望の針径が150μm未満となる針材の端面に照射することによって形成することを特徴とする、アイレス縫合針の製造方法。
