Description
本発明は、押出成形物を製造する方法および装置に関し、より詳細には、閉ループ制御(closed−loop control)を使用して様々な断面および材料を有する押出成形物を製造する方法および装置に関する。
様々な図面における同様の参照記号は、同様の要素を示す。
実施例1−断面が変化する押出成形物の製造
容積式装置などのような、押出成形装置の材料ホッパーが、Pebax7233ナイロンで充填される。装置が始動され、プラスチックが金型ヘッドから出始める。金型ヘッドは、円錐形の外輪(外側のリング部)および内部先端(内側の先端部)を有しており、材料で円柱形の管を作成するように配置される。外輪は、1.9558mm(0.0770インチ)の内径を有し、内部先端の外縁は、外輪の外面から0.0508mm(0.002インチ)だけ離れている。

装置の他のパラメータは、始動時に次のように設定される。融解ポンプのrpm 75.02、プーラー速度 22.10rpm、押出成形機速度 4.65rpm、タンク・ギャップ 2.91084mm(0.1146インチ)、ウォーター・ダム直径 2.2606mm(0.089インチ)、スクリュー 19.05mm(3/4インチ)、気圧 水76.2mm(3インチ)。
容積式装置などのような共押出成形装置の第1のホッパーは、タイ・レイヤ(tie layer、結合層)として働くようにLDPE(Plexar)で充填される。装置の第2のホッパーは、内部層として働くようにHDPE(Marlex)で充填され、第3は、外部層として働くように50%の濃度の射出グレードNylon12(Nanocomposite)入りのGrilamid L20ベースなどのNylon12で充填される。3つの層は、かなり研磨された螺旋面を介して、金型の開口部に挿入され且つ金型面と同一平面に又は圧力下でわずかに突出するように配置されているマンドレルへ、送り出される。金型は、円形の外輪および内部プラグを有しており、材料により円柱形の管を作成するように配置されている。外輪は、1.0668mm(0.042インチ)の内径を有し、内部プラグの外側縁部は、外輪の内径から2.54mm(0.100インチ)だけ離れている。3つの材料は、3層の管を形成するように、金型を同時に出るように送り出される。中央の結合層については、材料を金型ヘッドへ送出するために融解ポンプを使用せず、送出される材料の量は、スクリュー速度によって制御される。内側の層および外側の層については、融解ポンプを使用して、それぞれの材料を金型ヘッドに送出する。オンライン超音波ゲージングを使用して、3層の厚さを測定する。超音波ユニットは情報を制御システムへ送信し、ポンプおよびスクリューの速度は、壁部の所望される割合を達成するように自動的に調整される。超音波ゲージは壁厚全体も測定し、制御システムは、この情報を変換し、プーラーへ信号を送って、必要に応じて速度を増減させるようにする。制御システムの制御下で、供給された空気を使用して均一の内径(i.d.)を維持する。層の同心性は、制御システムが、ヘッドにおいて、バネ荷重型ピストンを有する機械調整型シリンダーを使用して制御するものであり、バネ荷重型ピストンを有する機械調整型シリンダーは、金型を保持するリングへかける圧力を増加又は低減させる。
Claims (17)
- 1または複数の押出成形機と共に使用する押出制御システムであって、
押出工程に関連する1または複数のデータ取得ノードと通信するデータ取得モジュールと、
前記データ取得モジュールから取得された情報に関連する押出工程を制御する1または複数の制御ノードと通信する制御モジュールと、
前記1または複数の制御ノードへの入力パラメータの値を、現在の動作サイクルの前に決定された、先の設定に、繰り返す期間で定期的にリセットするための同期信号を生成する同期信号生成器と、
前記1または複数の押出成形機によって製造される管状の押出成形部品に対応する電気的に格納された部品の外径を表すための、寸法に関する一連のデータと、を備え、
前記制御モジュールは、前記部品の前記一連のデータを用いて、前記部品の前記一連のデータに一致する連続して押し出された部品を製造するように作動する、
押出制御システム。 - 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記繰り返す期間が、前記押出成形部品の長手方向の長さの関数である、押出制御システム。
- 請求項2に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記同期信号が部品ごとに生成される、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記部品の一連のデータに関連する第1のイベント・マーカーを前記部品の一連のデータに更に含み、前記同期信号生成器は、前記システムが前記イベント・マーカーに遭遇したときに前記同期信号を生成する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記データ取得モジュールおよび前記制御モジュールがそれぞれ、前記1または複数の押出成形機の動作を監視および制御するコンピュータと通信する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項5に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記部品の輪郭形状の画像を提示する前記コンピュータに関連するディスプレイを更に含む、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記同期信号生成器は、専用の通信チャネルを介して前記1または複数の制御ノードのそれぞれと通信する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項7に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記同期信号が同期パルスを含む、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記同期信号生成器は、共有の通信媒体を介して前記1または複数の制御ノードのそれぞれと通信する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記押出成形部品の速度を測定できるようにする速度センサを更に含む押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記データ取得ノードがレーザ・ゲージを含む、押出制御システム。
- 請求項11に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記レーザ・ゲージが、前記押出工程によって製造された押出成形部品の管の外径に関連するデータを取得する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記制御モジュールは、前記同期信号生成器が前記同期信号を生成した後に、PID制御シーケンスを実行する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記制御モジュールが1つより多い押出成形機の制御ノードと通信する、押出制御システム。
- 請求項14に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記制御モジュールが、第1の押出成形機における第1の材料から第2の押出成形機における第2の材料への切替を行わせる、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記制御ノードは、サイジング・エア・デバイス・コントローラであって、前記制御モジュールが、押出成形機に関連するサイジング・エア・デバイス・コントローラと通信し、前記同期信号は、前記サイジング・エア・デバイス・コントローラへの入力パラメータの値を、現在の動作サイクルの前に決定された、先の設定に、繰り返す期間で定期的にリセットする、押出制御システム。
- 請求項1に記載の押出制御システムであって、前記データ取得モジュールによって取得されたデータを操作者に提供する報告モジュールを更に備える押出制御システム。
