Description
Claims (7)
- 被加熱体の表面を加熱する表面加熱システムにおいて、
ミリメートル波周波数を発生するための周波数発生器と、
被加熱体の表面に向けてコリメートされたまたは収斂されたミリメートル波周波数の高パワー波頭を照射して、その高パワー波頭の浸透する深さまで被加熱体の表面領域を加熱する能動反射アンテナシステムと、
被加熱体の表面温度を測定し、その表面温度を予め定められた温度範囲内に維持するための制御信号を発生する熱感知サブシステムとを具備し、
表面加熱システムは被加熱体の表面温度を制御するために前記熱感知サブシステムからの制御信号に応答して高パワー波頭の送信パワーレベルと、パルス繰返し率と、パルス継続期間とのいずれかを変化させるように構成され、
前記能動反射アンテナシステムはパラボラ形状の表面上に配置されている複数の半導体ウエハを具備し、各半導体ウエハは受信し、増幅し、再送信するように構成されている表面加熱システム。 - 前記各半導体ウェハは、ミリメートル波周波数を増幅するための1以上のパワー増幅器のセットと、
コリメートされたまたは収斂する高パワー波頭を発生するための1以上の送信アンテナとを具備し、
前記各パワー増幅器のセットは前記送信アンテナの1つに結合されている請求項1記載のシステム。 - 能動反射アレイは、空間的に供給されたミリメートル波の低パワー波頭を受信し、その低パワー波頭を増幅して高パワー波頭を発生し、
前記各半導体ウェハは、
空間的に供給されたミリメートル波の低パワー波頭を受信するための1以上の受信アンテナと、
空間的に供給されたミリメートル波の低パワー波頭の信号を増幅するための1以上のパワー増幅器のセットと、
コリメートされたまたは収斂する高パワー波頭を発生するために増幅された信号を送信する1以上の送信アンテナとを具備している請求項2記載のシステム。 - 周波数発生器とアンテナシステムは波頭発生サブシステムの一部である請求項2記載のシステム。
- 能動反射アレイに入射する低パワー波頭を供給するミリメートル波周波数の低パワーフィードをさらに具備し、
前記低パワーフィードは能動反射アレイ内の周波数ソースから受信されたミリメートル波信号を増幅し、反射する請求項3記載のシステム。 - 半導体ベースの能動アレイアンテナを使用して、被加熱体の表面に向けてコリメートされたまたは収斂するミリメートル波周波数の高パワー波頭を発生し、
被加熱体の表面温度を測定し、その表面温度を制御する制御信号を発生し、
前記表面温度を制御するために熱感知サブシステムからの制御信号に応答して波頭の送信パワーレベル、パルス繰返し率、パルス継続期間のいずれかを変化させ、
前記高パワー波頭の発生においては、入射するミリメートル波周波数の低パワーミリメートル波波頭を能動アレイアンテナにで受取り、
前記能動アレイアンテナはパラボラ形状の表面上に配置されている複数の半導体ウエハを具備しており、
各半導体ウエハは、受取った低パワーミリメートル波波頭をパワー増幅器によって増幅し、
各半導体ウエハは、受取って増幅して生成した高パワーミリメートル波波頭を前記被加熱体の表面に向けてその半導体ウエハ上のアンテナにより再送信する表面の加熱方法。 - 食品を褐色に焦して焼くシステムにおいて、
空洞を有するハウジングと、
前記空洞内に位置する食品アイテムの表面を加熱するように複数の高パワーミリメートル波波頭を導くための空洞内に設けられている複数の能動アレイとを具備し、
前記波頭はコリメートされた、または収斂するミリメートル波周波数の高パワー波頭であり、
前記能動アレイは実質的に平坦な表面上に配置された複数の半導体ウエハを具備し、
前記各半導体ウエハは、ミリメートル波周波数の信号を増幅する1以上のパワー増幅器のセットと、
前記1以上のパワー増幅器のセットに結合され、コリメートされたまたは収斂された高パワー波頭を生成する1以上の送信アンテナと、
食品アイテムの表面温度を測定し、その表面温度を予め定められた温度範囲内に維持するための制御信号を発生する熱感知サブシステムと、
食品アイテムを表面温度よりも低い温度に加熱するために前記空洞内にマイクロ波エネルギを導入するマイクロ波増幅器およびそれに結合されているアンテナとを具備している食品を褐色に焦して焼くシステム。
