Claims (5)
- 複数の波長の異なる励起光を伝送路ファイバに入力した場合のラマン散乱による信号光の増幅作用を用いたラマン増幅中継器において、
前記信号光の信号帯域内における監視用波長であって、前記励起光の波長の数より多く、且つ、前記信号光の数と同数以下の前記監視用波長の信号光によって信号光パワーを監視することにより、前記励起光を出射する励起LDの出力パワーを制御するラマン増幅中継器であって、
前記監視用波長は、ラマン増幅後の信号光のスペクトラムのボトム値及びトップ値に設定されていることを特徴とするラマン増幅中継器。 - 信号光のスペクトラムのボトム値に設定された前記監視波長におけるスペクトラムのパワーが、予め設定した目標値となるように、前記励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 信号光のスペクトラムのトップ値に設定された複数の前記監視波長におけるスペクトラムのパワーが、同じ値となるように、前記励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 信号光スペクトラムのトップ値に設定された複数の前記監視波長におけるスペクトラムのパワーの差がなくなるように、前記監視波長の前記信号光を増幅する励起光を出射する前記励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 前記目標値が、前記信号帯域内における最小利得値に基づいて設定されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
