Abstract
【解決手段】 励起光を伝送路ファイバに入力した場合のラマン散乱による信号光の増幅作用を用いたラマン増幅中継器であって、複数のPD7a〜7dにより励起波長の数より多い数の監視用波長で信号光パワーを監視することにより、励起光を出射する励起LD3a、3b、3cの出力パワーを制御する。

Claims (6)
- 励起光を伝送路ファイバに入力した場合のラマン散乱による信号光の増幅作用を用いたラマン増幅中継器において、
前記励起波長の数と同数以上、且つ、信号光の数と同数以下の監視用波長によって信号光パワーを監視することにより、前記励起光を出射する励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とするラマン増幅中継器。 - 前記監視波長の少なくとも1つを、ラマン増幅後の信号光のスペクトラムのパワーの低い部分における波長に設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 前記監視波長の少なくとも1つを、ラマン増幅後の信号光のスペクトラムのパワーの高い部分における波長に設定することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 信号光のスペクトラムのパワーの低い部分に設定された前記監視波長におけるスペクトラムのパワーが、予め設定した目標値となるように、前記励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 信号光のスペクトラムのパワーの高い部分に設定された複数の前記監視波長におけるスペクトラムのパワーが、同じ値となるように、前記励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
- 複数の前記監視波長におけるスペクトラムのパワーの差がなくなるように、前記監視波長の前記信号光を増幅する励起光を出射する前記励起LDの出力パワーを制御することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のラマン増幅中継器。
