Description
高電圧が供給される高電圧印加電極を先端部に備え、高電圧印加電極と被塗物との間に静電界を生成することにより塗料を帯電させながら被塗物に吸着させる静電塗装装置であって、塗装ロボットのアームの先端に絶縁材料を介して装着される静電塗装装置において、
該静電塗装装置の前記高電圧印加電極から離れた端部に配設された導電性エンドプレートと、
該導電性エンドプレートに取り付けられた複数の接続口を経由して前記塗装ロボットから前記静電塗装装置の内部に延びるエア系、電気系、液体系の通路と、
前記接続口を構成する導電性継手と、
前記導電性継手の各々を通じて個別に高電圧リークを検出して、高電圧リークが発生したときに、前記高電圧印加電極に供給する高電圧の値を低下させる高電圧降下制御手段とを有し、
前記塗装ロボットのアームの端が前記エンドプレートよりも前記静電塗装装置の先端側に位置し、
前記静電塗装装置は、更に、
前記エンドプレートを、前記塗装ロボットの手首部分の端よりも前記静電塗装装置の先端側に延長する導電性の延長部材を有し、
前記導電性継手のうち、前記静電塗装装置の高電圧印加電極に供給するケーブルを接続する導電性継手を除く導電性継手が電気絶縁材料を介して前記エンドプレートに取り付けられ、
前記エンドプレート、前記延長部材並びに前記静電塗装装置の高電圧印加電極に供給するケーブルを接続する導電性継手を介して前記静電塗装装置の外表面の汚れによる高電圧リークを検出することを特徴とする静電塗装装置を提供することにより達成される。

式(3)においてブリード電流値I3は、高電圧発生器20の高電圧出力値Vmを抵抗Rmで割ることにより求めることができる(I3=Vm/Rbr)。

Claims (2)
- 高電圧が供給される高電圧印加電極を先端部に備え、高電圧印加電極と被塗物との間に静電界を生成することにより塗料を帯電させながら被塗物に吸着させる静電塗装装置であって、塗装ロボットのアームの先端に絶縁材料を介して装着される静電塗装装置において、
該静電塗装装置の前記高電圧印加電極から離れた端部に配設された導電性エンドプレートと、
該導電性エンドプレートに取り付けられた複数の接続口を経由して前記塗装ロボットから前記静電塗装装置の内部に延びるエア系、電気系、液体系の通路と、
前記接続口を構成する導電性継手と、
前記導電性継手の各々を通じて個別に高電圧リークを検出して、高電圧リークが発生したときに、前記高電圧印加電極に供給する高電圧の値を低下させる高電圧降下制御手段とを有し、
前記塗装ロボットのアームの端が前記エンドプレートよりも前記静電塗装装置の先端側に位置し、
前記静電塗装装置は、
前記エンドプレートを、前記塗装ロボットの手首部分の端よりも前記静電塗装装置の先端側に延長する導電性の延長部材を更に有し、
前記導電性継手のうち、前記静電塗装装置の高電圧印加電極に供給するケーブルを接続する導電性継手を除く導電性継手が電気絶縁材料を介して前記エンドプレートに取り付けられ、
前記エンドプレート、前記延長部材並びに前記静電塗装装置の高電圧印加電極に供給するケーブルを接続する導電性継手を介して前記静電塗装装置の外表面の汚れによる高電圧リークを検出することを特徴とする静電塗装装置。 - 前記静電塗装装置が脱着可能な塗料カートリッジを備え、該塗料カートリッジに駆動流体を供給することにより該塗料カートリッジ内の塗料を吐出させて前記静電塗装装置から吐出させ、
該駆動流体が、前記導電性エンドプレートに設けられた前記導電性継手を経由して前記静電塗装装置に供給される、請求項1に記載の静電塗装装置。
