図2の(a)に示すように、立方体(ABCD−EFGH)の3面(ABFE、EFGH、AEHD)を鏡面にしてAFHを開口する。Eを底点とし、かつAFHを頂面とする三角錐の開口が、コーナーキューブミラー12になる。
図2の(a)において、コーナーキューブミラー12に入射する入射波L1はAEHD面の第1の鏡面12aの反射点R1で反射して反射波L2となり、反射波L2はABFE面の第2の鏡面12bの反射点R2で反射して反射波L3となり、反射波L3はEFGH面の第3の鏡面12cの反射点R3で反射して出射波L4となる。
図2の(b)において、入射波L1は超音波探触子20から出射され、出射波L4が超音波探触子20によって受波される。これによって、コーナーキューブミラー12から穿刺針1の穿刺針本体11の刃面14を含む刃先13を検知することができる。
図3の(a)において、内針は刃面22にコーナーキューブミラー12が設けられている。この構成によると、二重針30の先端を適確に検知することができる。
図3の(b)において、外針21の刃面24の内周面上にコーナーキューブミラー12が設けられている。この構成によると、内針が抜き取られた状態で外針21の先端を適確に検知することができる。
本実施の形態によれば、下記の効果を奏する。
(イ)穿刺針にコーナーキューブミラーを設けたことにより、穿刺針における超音波の入射波と反射波が平行あるいは略平行になるため、超音波探触子から出力された超音波が、穿刺針で反射して超音波探触子に戻るため、超音波の照射経路と穿刺針の軸の成す角度が小さくなっても、超音波がコーナーキューブミラーによって反射されて超音波探触子に戻され、穿刺針、特に、その先端部を明瞭に画像化することができる。
(ロ)コーナーキューブミラーは、刃先の近傍に設けることにより、先端部の造影を明瞭にすることができる。
(ハ)穿刺針を一周するように複数のコーナーキューブミラーを設けると、穿刺針の穿刺の向きにかかわらず、穿刺針における入射波と反射波が平行あるいは略平行になるため、穿刺針の向きによらず、明瞭に画像化することができる。
(ニ)コーナーキューブミラーを複数列に設けることにより、確実に反射波を生成することができる。
(ホ)コーナーキューブミラーは、反射効率が良いので、穿刺針の種類に関係なくすぐれた反射特性を得ることができる。特に、二重針の内針の外表面にコーナーキューブミラーを設けると、内針と外針との間に存在する空気層との相乗効果によって非常にすぐれた反射特性を得ることができた。しかし、単管構造の外表面にコーナーキューブミラーを設け、その外周にコーティングを施した構造であってもすぐれた反射特性を得ることができた。
本発明は、上記実施の形態に限定されず、本発明の技術思想を逸脱あるいは変更しない範囲内で種々な変形が可能である。例えば、胆管造影などのためのPTC(Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiography:経皮経肝胆道造影)針、超音波内視鏡対応の穿刺針などを人体に穿刺して、超音波エコーにより体内に穿刺された針管の位置を確認しながらターゲットに穿刺する穿刺針の全てに適用可能である。
Claims (6)
- 穿刺状態を超音波映像により観察しながら穿刺を行う超音波用穿刺針において、
先端に刃先が形成された針管本体と、
前記針管本体の所定の位置に設けられた複数のコーナーキューブミラーと、を備え、
前記複数のコーナーキューブミラーは、前記針管本体の中心軸と平行に設けられていることを特徴とする超音波用穿刺針。 - 前記コーナーキューブミラーは、前記針管本体の外表面に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超音波用穿刺針。
- 前記コーナーキューブミラーは、前記針管本体の前記外表面の長手方向に複数列が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波用穿刺針。
- 前記針管本体は、単管構造あるいは二重針の内針あるいは外針であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の超音波用穿刺針。
- 前記コーナーキューブミラーは、前記外針の刃先の内面に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の超音波用穿刺針。
- 前記針管本体は、前記刃先以外の部分に樹脂コーティングが施されていることを特徴とする請求項1または5に記載の超音波用穿刺針。
