Description
本発明の製造方法においては、出発原料として下記式(1)で示される脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物、或いは下記式(2)で示される脂肪族環状ケトン化合物を用いる。
本発明において使用する亜硝酸塩及び硝酸塩としては、工業的或いは試薬として入手容易な化合物が何等制限なく使用できる。 これらの化合物を具体的に例示すると、亜硝酸塩としては、亜硝酸ナトリウム、亜硝酸カリウム、亜硝酸リチウム、亜硝酸銀等を挙げることができる。
本発明において使用するトリフルオロ酢酸は、反応触媒と溶媒との役割を兼ねる。
反応温度は特に制限はないが、温度が高いと酸化反応が暴走し反応系が危険な状態になりやすい。反応温度が低いと反応時間が著しく長くなる。このため通常、トリフルオロ酢酸の融点以上〜60℃、特に0〜40℃が好ましい。
50mlの茄子型フラスコに脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物としてシクロヘキサノール(和光純薬試薬特級、含水量100ppm以下)100mg(1mmol)を入れ、溶媒としてトリフルオロ酢酸(和光純薬試薬特級;純度98%以上、含水量0.1質量%)5mlを加えて、シクロヘキサノールを溶解させた。
亜硝酸ナトリウムに代えて表1に示した亜硝酸塩もしくは硝酸塩を用いた以外は実施例1と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表1示した。
シクロヘキサノールに代えて表2に示した脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物或いは脂肪族環状ケトン化合物(原料化合物)を用いた以外は実施例2と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表2に示した。
50mlの茄子型フラスコに脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物としてシクロヘキサノール(和光純薬試薬特級)100mg(1mmol)を入れ、これに溶媒としてトリフルオロ酢酸(和光純薬試薬特級;純度98%以上)5mlを加えてシクロヘキサノールを溶解させた。氷冷下、トリフルオロ酢酸を15分間酸素でバブリングした後、亜硝酸塩として亜硝酸ナトリウム(和光純薬特級)69mg(1mmol)を加えた。フラスコに酸素バルーンを取り付け、30分間攪拌した後、室温に戻して4時間30分攪拌した。
水分量0.1質量%のトリフルオロ酢酸に代えて、93.1質量%(90容量%)のトリフルオロ酢酸の水溶液を用い、反応原料としてシクロヘキサノンを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の操作を行った。その結果、目的物であるアジピン酸は全く得られず、原料のシクロヘキサノンが定量的に回収された。
Claims (6)
- 水酸基が結合する炭素原子又はカルボニル基を構成する炭素原子にメチレン基が少なくとも1個結合されている脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物もしくは脂肪族環状ケトン化合物を、トリフルオロ酢酸の存在下、亜硝酸塩もしくは硝酸塩で酸化する脂肪族ジカルボン酸の製造方法であって、反応系中の水分量を、前記トリフルオロ酢酸と反応系中の水分量との合計量を100質量%として、1質量%以下に保って反応を行うことを特徴とする脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物の製造方法。
- 脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物もしくは脂肪族環状ケトン化合物が、3〜12員環化合物である請求項1に記載の脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物の製造方法。
- 亜硝酸塩又は硝酸塩の配合量が、脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物もしくは脂肪族環状ケトン化合物1モルに対し0.5〜10モルである請求項1に記載の脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物の製造方法。
- 脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物もしくは脂肪族環状ケトン化合物のトリフルオロ酢酸中の濃度が0.05〜60質量%である請求項1に記載の脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物の製造方法。
- 脂肪族環状二級アルコール化合物がシクロヘキサノールである請求項1に記載の脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物の製造方法。
- 脂肪族環状ケトン化合物がシクロヘキサノンである請求項1に記載の脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物の製造方法。
