Claims (7)
- 単一層または多重層の膜を具備した直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータであって、
(i)前記膜は、膜の内面からこれに対向するように位置する膜の外面まで延びる複数個の拡散チャンネルを具備し、前記膜の外面における前記拡散チャンネルの平均直径は、前記膜の内面における前記拡散チャンネルの平均直径より少なくとも3倍大きく、
(ii)前記膜の内面と外面の表面及び前記拡散チャンネルの内側表面は、疎水性であり、
(iii)前記膜の外面は内面よりさらに疎水性であることを特徴とする直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。 - 前記膜の外面における水滴との接触角は、前記膜の内面における水滴との接触角よりさらに大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。
- 前記膜の外面における水滴との接触角は、前記膜の内面における水滴との接触角より1゜ないし10゜大きいことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。
- 前記膜の内面における水滴との接触角は、少なくとも130゜であり、前記膜の外面における水滴との接触角は、少なくとも135゜であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。
- 前記膜は、疎水性表面を有するフレームに装着されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。
- 前記フレームは、多孔性親水性物質から形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。
- 前記膜と前記フレームとの間にコーティングまたは境界層を具備し、前記コーティングまたは境界層は、疎水性物質から形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5または請求項6に記載の直接メタノール燃料電池用CO2セパレータ。
