Description
作動時に大動脈を圧縮するように出来ている大動脈圧縮手段と、
患者の心臓リズムとのカウンターパルセーションにより前記大動脈圧縮手段を周期的に作動及び作動停止する起動手段と
を含む患者の心臓の働きを補助する装置であって、
前記大動脈圧縮手段が大動脈の円周の一部のみを圧縮するように出来ている
ことを特徴とする装置を提供する。
発明の前記態様の何れか一つに従う装置を完全に患者の胸腔内に埋め込むステップと、
大動脈の内部容量を減少するために拡張期と同期して空間内に流体を周期的に導入するように起動手段を作動するステップと、
心臓収縮期の開始と同期して空間から流体を周期的に引き出すために起動手段の作動期間と作動停止期間とを交互に繰り返し、それにより装置に隣接する大動脈の部分が正常な内部容量に戻るようにするステップと
を含む方法を提供する。
上行大動脈に密封するように取り付けできるパッチ装置と、
前記パッチ装置の内部の少なくとも一部に密封するように取り付けられ、前記パッチ装置の内部に隣接する膨張可能な空間を定める可撓性膜と、
患者の心臓リズムとのカウンターパルセーションにより流体を空間から周期的に出し入れする起動手段と
を含む装置を提供する。
Claims (13)
- 患者の血管構造にカウンターパルセーション圧力を加えるために大動脈変形手段を含む心臓補助装置であって、動脈に加えられるカウンターパルセーション圧力が増加するにつれて長さを増す連続線に沿って、動脈壁を伸ばすことなく動脈が曲げられるよう、前記大動脈変形手段が動脈における長手方向の湾曲の半径方向外側の外面に対する接線に実質的に垂直な方向に変形力を加えることを特徴とする装置。
- 前記線が円錐曲線の形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 患者の上行大動脈にカウンターパルセーション圧力を加えるために大動脈変形手段を含む心臓補助装置であって、前記大動脈変形手段が上行大動脈における長手方向の湾曲の半径方向外側の外面に対する接線に実質的に垂直な方向に変形力を加え、前記大動脈変形手段が大動脈内に大動脈の最大変形の位置まで移動しながら、動脈壁を伸ばすことなく、滑らかに湾曲した卵型の窪みをもたらすことを特徴とする装置。
- 患者の下行大動脈にカウンターパルセーション圧力を加えるために大動脈変形手段を含む心臓補助装置であって、前記大動脈変形手段が下行大動脈における長手方向の湾曲の半径方向外側の外面に対する接線に実質的に垂直な方向に変形力を加え、前記大動脈変形手段が大動脈内に大動脈の最大変形の位置まで移動しながら、動脈壁を伸ばすことなく、滑らかに湾曲した円形の窪みをもたらすことを特徴とする装置。
- 湾曲した動脈に、動脈における長手方向の湾曲の半径方向外側表面に対する接線に実質的に垂直な方向に変形力を周期的に加えるように設定された動脈変形手段を含む心臓補助装置であって、前記変形力が、動脈壁を伸ばすことなく、動脈が、動脈を通る平面にある線に沿って漸次変形されるような変形力であり、前記平面が、変形が増加しながら動脈を通って半径方向内側に移動することを特徴とする装置。
- 前記大動脈変形手段が、大動脈の円周の半分以下の回りに伸びる膨張可能なバルーンを含み、
前記バルーンが、実質的に非弾力性の外側層と、前記バルーンが収縮したときに滑らかに湾曲しかつ装置が適用された患者の上行大動脈の内腔に直接面している形状を有する実質的に非弾力性の内側層とを有し、
さらに、装置が適用された患者の心臓とのカウンターパルセーションにより前記バルーンを膨張させる手段を含み、
患者の上行大動脈の壁の外面に適用するように構成された、上行大動脈用のカウンターパルセーションタイプであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。 - 上行大動脈における湾曲部の半径方向外側の外面壁に、前記壁を陥入させるようにカウンターパルセーション力を加えるように構成され、
前記大動脈変形手段が、前記壁が完全に陥入されたときに、陥入された壁の断片の、それが陥入される前の実質的に鏡像である形状を有し、
上行大動脈用であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記大動脈変形手段が、バルーンであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記大動脈変形手段が、剛体であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 血管の変形が血管の円周の回り180度を超えないことを特徴する請求項7に記載の装置。
- 血管の変形が血管の円周の回り160度を超えないことを特徴する請求項7に記載の装置。
- 血管の変形が血管の円周の回り140度を超えないことを特徴する請求項7に記載の装置。
- 血管の変形が血管の円周の回り約100度乃至約140度であることを特徴する請求項7に記載の装置。
