Claims (14)
- (a)半結晶性ポリマー及びナノチューブを含む組成物を製造する工程、(b)該組成物を長尺製品へと押出す工程、及び(c)ポリマーの融点より下で該製品を延伸する工程を含む、高強度及び高モジュラスの長尺製品を製造する方法において、工程(a)において組成物がポリマーの溶液中のナノチューブのコロイド状分散物であることを特徴とする方法。
- ナノチューブがカーボンナノチューブであるところの、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ナノチューブが単層ナノチューブであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において組成物が、
(a1)溶媒1の中のナノチューブ及び任意的に他の成分のコロイド状分散物、及び
(a2)溶媒2の中のポリマーの溶液、ここで溶媒1と2は混和性である、
を混合することにより得られ、
(b)(a)において得られた混合物から押出しが行われ;そして
(c)ポリマーの融点より下で少なくとも5の延伸比が適用される
ところの、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - ポリマーがポリオレフィンであることころの、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ポリオレフィンが約500,000g/モルより上の分子量Mwのポリエチレンであるところの、請求項5に記載の方法。
- (a1)の溶媒1がハロゲン化炭化水素であるところの、請求項4〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
