b)1〜15個のC原子を有する非分枝鎖又は分枝鎖のアルキルカルボン酸のビニルエステル、1〜15個のC原子を有するアルコールのメタクリル酸エステル及びアクリル酸エステル、ビニル芳香族化合物、オレフィン、ジエン及びビニルハロゲン化物を含む群からの1種以上のモノマーのホモ−又はコポリマーをベースとする水中で再分散可能な1種以上のポリマー粉末
を含有する粉末塗料組成物の使用である。

R2はC1〜C3−アルキル基、C1〜C3−アルコキシ基又はハロゲン、有利にCl又はBrの意味を有し、
R3は非分枝鎖又は分枝鎖の場合により置換された1〜12個のC原子、有利に1〜3個のC原子を有するアルキル基か、又は2〜12個のC原子を有するアシル基であり、その際、R3は場合によりエーテル基により中断されていてよく、かつ
R4はH又はCH3を表す]
のエチレン性不飽和ケイ素化合物である。

R5はH又はメチル基であり、
R6はH又は1〜5個のC原子を有するアルキル基であり、
R7は1〜5個のC原子を有するアルキレン基か、又は炭素鎖がO−又はN−原子により中断されている二価の有機基であり、
R8は1〜5個のC原子を有するアルキル基であり、
R9は他の複素環により置換されていてよい1〜40個のC原子を有するアルコキシ基である]
のシラン基含有メタ(アクリルアミド)も適当なエチレン性不飽和シラン含有モノマーである。2個以上のR5−又はR9−基が存在するモノマー中で、これらは同じか又は異なっていてよい。
3−(メタ)アクリルアミド−プロピルトリメトキシシラン、3−(メタ)アクリルアミド−プロピルトリエトキシシラン、3−(メタ)アクリルアミド−プロピルトリ(β−メトキシ−エトキシ)シラン、2−(メタ)アクリルアミド−2−メチルプロピルトリメトキシ−シラン、2−(メタ)アクリルアミド−2−メチルエチルトリメトキシシラン、N−(2−(メタ)アクリルアミド−エチル)アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3−(メタ)−アクリルアミド−プロピルトリアセトキシシラン、2−(メタ)アクリルアミド−エチル−トリメトキシシラン、1−(メタ)アクリルアミド−メチルトリメトキシシラン、3−(メタ)アクリルアミド−プロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、3−(メタ)アクリル−アミド−プロピルジメチルメトキシシラン、3−(N−メチル−(メタ)アクリルアミド)−プロピルトリメトキシシラン、3−((メタ)アクリルアミド−メトキシ)−3−ヒドロキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3−((メタ)アクリルアミド−メトキシ)−プロピルトリメトキシシラン、N,N−ジメチル−N−トリメトキシシリルプロピル−3−(メタ)アクリルアミド−プロピルアンモニウムクロリド及びN,N−ジメチル−N−トリ−メトキシシリルプロピル−2−(メタ)アクリルアミド−2−メチルプロピルアンモニウム−クロリド。
1−アルキルビニルエステル、例えばイソプロペニルアセテート、エチレン、プロピレン、イソブチレン、ブタジエン、イソプレン、クロロプレン、スチレン、α−メチル−スチレン、ビニルクロリド、ビニリデンクロリド、ビニルフルオリド、アクリルニトリル、メタクリルニトリル;アルキルビニルエーテル、例えばエチルビニルエーテル、n−ブチルビニルエーテル、イソ−ブチルビニルエーテル、tert.−ブチルビニルエーテル、シクロヘキシルビニルエーテル、オクタデシルビニルエーテル、ヒドロキシブチルビニル−エーテル、シクロヘキサンジメタノールモノビニルエーテル;ビニルメチルケトン、N−ビニルホルムアミド、N−ビニル−N−メチルアセトアミド、N−ビニルカプロラクタム、N−ビニルピロリドン、N−ビニルイミダゾール。
酢酸ビニルホモポリマー;
酢酸ビニルとエチレン1〜40質量%とのコポリマー;
酢酸ビニルとエチレン1〜40質量%とカルボン酸基中に1〜12個のC原子を有するビニルエステル、例えばビニルプロピオネート、ビニルラウレート、9〜13個のC原子を有するα−分枝鎖カルボン酸のビニルエステル、例えばVeoVa9、VeoVa10、VeoVa11の群からの1種以上の他のコモノマー1〜50質量%とのコポリマー;
酢酸ビニルとエチレン1〜40質量%と1〜15個のC原子を有する非分枝鎖又は分枝鎖のアルコールのアクリル酸エステル、殊にn−ブチルアクリレート又は2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート有利に1〜60質量%とのコポリマー;及び
酢酸ビニル30〜75質量%、ビニルラウレート又は9〜11個のC原子を有するα−分枝鎖カルボン酸のビニルエステル1〜30質量%、並びに1〜15個のC原子を有する非分枝鎖又は分枝鎖のアルコールのアクリル酸エステル、殊にn−ブチルアクリレート又は2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート1〜30質量%のコポリマー(これは更に1〜40質量%のエチレンを含有してもよい);
酢酸ビニル、エチレン1〜40質量%と塩化ビニル1〜60質量%とのコポリマー;その際、ポリマーは更に上記の補助モノマーを上記の量で含有してよく、かつ質量%での記載はそれぞれ合計して100質量%になる。
(メタ)アクリル酸エステルポリマー、例えばn−ブチルアクリレート又は2−エチルヘキシルアクリレートのコポリマー又はメチルメタクリレートとn−ブチルアクリレート及び/又は2−エチルヘキシルアクリレートのコポリマー;
メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、プロピルアクリレート、n−ブチルアクリレート、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレートの群からの1種以上のモノマーを有するスチレン−アクリル酸エステル−コポリマー;
メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、プロピルアクリレート、n−ブチルアクリレート、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート及び場合によりエチレンの群からの1種以上のモノマーを有する酢酸ビニル−アクリル酸エステル−コポリマー;
スチレン−1,3−ブタジエン−コポリマー;
その際、ポリマーは更に上記の補助モノマーを上記の量で含有してよく、かつ質量%での記載はそれぞれ合計して100質量%になる。
1/Tg=x1/Tg1+x2/Tg2+・・・+xn/Tgnが成り立ち、ここで、xnはモノマーnの質量画分(質量%/100)であり、Tgnはモノマーnのホモポリマーのガラス転移温度(ケルビン)である。ホモポリマーのTg値は、Polymer Handbook 第2版,J.Wiley & Sons,New York(1975)に挙げられている。
カチオン性分散剤、例えばポリジアリルジメチルアンモニウム−クロリド、ベンジルジメチルステアリルアンモニウムクロリド、ジメチルステアリル−アンモニウムクロリド、アクリルアミドとのコポリマー、ジメチルアミン−エピクロロヒドリン、ポリオキシアルキル−ポリアミン−ジシアノジアミン、ジメチルアミノエチル−メタクリレート(MADAME)変性ポリマー、メタクリルオキシエチルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド(MADQUAT)変性ポリマー、カチオン性セルロース誘導体、カチオン性デンプン誘導体、カチオン性ポリビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンイミン及びそのコポリマー、三価アルミニウム−、ホウ素−及び亜鉛イオンを有する化合物、トリエタノールアミン−チタン−キレート錯体、ビニルピロリドンのコポリマー、ポリアミドアミン。
紙被覆:
実施例1:
6mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有するシラン含有完全鹸化ポリビニルアルコール70質量%(固体)、及び、1μmの粒径、45%の固体含分及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有するポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート分散液30質量%(固体)の一緒の噴霧乾燥からの生成物
実施例2:
実施例1と同様であるが、但しシラン含有ポリビニルアルコールは10mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有していた。
20mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有するシラン含有完全鹸化ポリビニルアルコールと、1μmの粒径及び45%の固体含分及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有するポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート分散液から製造された再分散性ポリマー粉末との、70:30の質量割合での粉末/粉末混合物。
実施例1と同様であるが、但し噴霧乾燥のための供給物に付加的にカチオン性分散剤を添加した。カチオン性分散剤を成分a)+b):分散剤=40:5の質量割合で混合した。生成物を、粉末混合物45質量部を含有しかつ付加的なカチオン性分散剤なしの塗工材料中で使用した。
25mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有する市販のシラン含有ポリビニルアルコール
比較例6:
1μmの粒径、45%の固体含分及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有するポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート分散液から製造された再分散性ポリマー粉末
比較例7:
20mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有するシラン含有完全鹸化ポリビニルアルコールの11質量%水溶液と、1μmの粒径及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有する45質量%のポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート−分散液との混合物
実施例及び比較例からの生成物を、以下の配合物において紙塗工材料のために試験した:
沈降シリカ 100質量部
実施例/比較例からの混合物 40質量部
カチオン性分散剤 5質量部
塗工材料の固体含分:30%
原紙:
80g/m2のサイズ紙;塗工15g/m2
試験法:
幅4.5cm、長さ19cmの塗工された紙テープに、Pruefbau社の摩耗試験機(System Dr. Duerner)で、型押し機(500g)上に施与された黒色のアクセント紙(Tonzeichenpapier)を用いて側方に50衝程の負荷を施与した。その後、得られた黒色の紙を目視により評価した。その際、評点1(=100%黒;摩耗なし)は最適を表す。
白色度をフィルター(R 457)を用いた反射率(Remission)測定により決定し、目視により評価した。その際、評点1は最適を表す。
実施例8:
6mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有するシラン含有完全鹸化ポリビニルアルコール42質量%(固体)、及び、1μmの粒径、45%の固体含分及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有するポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート分散液58質量%(固体)の一緒の噴霧乾燥からの生成物
実施例9:
実施例8と同様であるが、但しシラン含有ポリビニルアルコールは10mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有していた。
20mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有するシラン含有完全鹸化ポリビニルアルコールと、1μmの粒径、45%の固体含分及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有するポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート分散液から製造された再分散性ポリマー粉末との、42:58の質量割合での粉末/粉末混合物。
実施例8と同様であるが、但し噴霧乾燥のための供給物に付加的にカチオン性分散剤を添加した。カチオン性分散剤を成分a)+b):分散剤=85:8の質量割合で混合した。生成物を、粉末混合物93質量部を含有しかつ付加的なカチオン性分散剤なしの塗工材料中で使用した。
10mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有する市販のシラン含有ポリビニルアルコール
比較例13:
1μmの粒径、45%の固体含分及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有するポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート分散液から製造された再分散性ポリマー粉末
比較例14:
20mPas(水中で4%)のヘップラー粘度を有するシラン含有完全鹸化ポリビニルアルコールの11質量%水溶液と、1μmの粒径及び500mPas(20upm)のブルックフィールド粘度を有する45質量%のポリビニルアルコール安定化官能化ポリビニルアセテート−分散液との混合物
実施例及び比較例からの生成物を、以下の配合物において塗工材料のために試験した:
沈降シリカ 100質量部
実施例/比較例からの混合物 85質量部
カチオン性分散剤 8質量部
塗工材料の固体含分:30%
支持体:
定着剤を施与した90g/m2のPETシート;塗工15g/m2
試験法:
摩耗試験:
幅4.5cm、長さ19cmの塗工された紙テープに、Pruefbau社の摩耗試験機(System Dr. Duerner)で、型押し機(500g)上に施与された黒色のアクセント紙を用いて側方に50衝程の負荷を施与した。その後、得られた黒色の紙を目視により評価した。その際、評点1(=100%黒;摩耗なし)は最適を表す。
白色度をフィルター(R 457)を用いた反射率測定により決定し、目視により評価した。その際、評点1は最適を表す。
Claims (10)
- 以下
a)75〜100モル%の加水分解度を有する完全に鹸化されたか又は部分的に鹸化されたビニルエステルコポリマーをベースとする1種以上の粉末状のシラン含有ポリビニルアルコール、及び
b)1〜15個のC原子を有する非分枝鎖又は分枝鎖のアルキルカルボン酸のビニルエステル、1〜15個のC原子を有するアルコールのメタクリル酸エステル及びアクリル酸エステル、ビニル芳香族化合物、オレフィン、ジエン及びビニルハロゲン化物を含む群からの1種以上のモノマーのホモ−又はコポリマーをベースとし、ポリマー水性分散液に、部分的に鹸化されたポリビニルアルコール噴霧助剤3〜30質量%を配合して噴霧乾燥して得られる、水中で再分散可能な1種以上のポリマー粉末
を含有するインクジェット記録材用塗工液調製のための水再分散性良好な粉末組成物。 - a)完全に鹸化されたか又は部分的に鹸化された酢酸ビニルコポリマーをベースとする1種以上の粉末状のシラン含有ポリビニルアルコールが含有されている、請求項1記載の粉末組成物。
- シラン含有ポリビニルアルコールを、
一般式R1SiR2 0−2(OR3)1−3
[式中、
R1はCH2=CR4−(CH2)0−3又はCH2=CR4CO2(CH2)1−3の意味を有し、
R2はC1〜C3−アルキル基、C1〜C3−アルコキシ基又はハロゲンの意味を有し、
R3は非分枝鎖又は分枝鎖の非置換のもしくは置換された1〜12個のC原子を有するアルキル基か、又は2〜12個のC原子を有するアシル基であり、その際、R3はエーテル基により中断されていてよく、かつ
R4はH又はCH3を表す]
のエチレン性不飽和ケイ素化合物、並びに、
一般式CH2=CR5−CO−NR6−R7−SiR8 m−(R9)3−m
[式中、
mは0〜2であり、
R5はH又はメチル基であり、
R6はH又は1〜5個のC原子を有するアルキル基であり、
R7は1〜5個のC原子を有するアルキレン基か、又は炭素鎖がO−又はN−原子により中断されている二価の有機基であり、
R8は1〜5個のC原子を有するアルキル基であり、
R9は他の複素環により置換されていてよい1〜40個のC原子を有するアルコキシ基である]
のシラン基含有メタ(アクリルアミド)
を含む群からの1種以上のシラン含有コモノマー0.01〜10モル%の共重合により取得する、請求項1又は2記載の粉末組成物。 - b)酢酸ビニルホモポリマー、酢酸ビニルとエチレンとのコポリマー、酢酸ビニルとエチレンと1種以上の他のビニルエステルとのコポリマー、酢酸ビニルとエチレンとアクリル酸エステルとのコポリマー、酢酸ビニルとエチレンと塩化ビニルとのコポリマー、スチレン−アクリル酸エステル−コポリマー、スチレン−1,3−ブタジエン−コポリマーを含む群からのホモ−又はコポリマーをベースとする水中で再分散可能な1種以上のポリマー粉末が含有されており、その際、ポリマーが更に補助モノマーを含有してよい、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の粉末組成物。
- ホモ−又はコポリマーが、更に、
b)エチレン性不飽和モノ−及びジカルボン酸、エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸アミド及び−ニトリル、フマル酸及びマレイン酸のモノ−及びジエステル、無水マレイン酸、エチレン性不飽和スルホン酸及びその塩、多価エチレン性不飽和コモノマー、アクリルアミドグリコール酸(AGA)、メタクリルアミドグリコール酸メチルエステル(MAGME)、N−メチロールアクリルアミド(NMA)、N−メチロールメタクリルアミド(NMMA)、N−メチロールアリルカルバメート、N−メチロールアクリルアミドのアルキルエーテル又はエステル、N−メチロールメタクリルアミドのアルキルエーテル又はエステル及びN−メチロールアリルカルバメートのアルキルエーテル又はエステル、グリシジル(メタ)アクリレート、(メタ)アクリルオキシプロピルトリ(アルコキシ)シラン、ビニルトリアルコキシシラン及びビニルメチルジアルコキシシラン、その際、アルコキシ基として、メトキシ−、エトキシ−及びエトキシプロピレングリコールエーテル−基が含有されていてよい、(メタ)アクリル酸−ヒドロキシアルキルエステル、ジアセトンアクリルアミド及びアセチルアセトキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート
を含む群からの1種以上の補助モノマーを含有する、請求項4記載の粉末組成物。 - シラン含有ポリビニルアルコールa)の水溶液及びポリマーb)の水性ポリマー分散液を、一緒に乾燥させることにより粉末塗料組成物を得ることができる、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の粉末組成物。
- 一緒の乾燥を噴霧乾燥法で行う、請求項6記載の粉末組成物。
- 成分a)及びb)が95:5〜20:80の質量比(固体/固体)で含有されている、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の粉末組成物。
- インクジェット記録材料のための、紙、プラスチックで被覆された紙、プラスチックシートからなる支持体材料を被覆するための配合物における、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の粉末組成物。
- 粉末塗料組成物を、一緒に、又は別個の工程において、配合物の残りの成分と共に必要量の水中に加入する、請求項9記載の粉末組成物。
