Description
Claims (10)
- 車両ドア(6)に対する衝突時の横方向からのエネルギーの衝撃から搭乗者を保護するための自動車用装置であって、この装置は、少なくとも2つの部材、すなわち、第1の部材および第2の部材からなる接続構造(7)を有し、この第1の部材(T1)が車両ドア(6)に固着され、第2の部材(T2)が車両内部(1)の車体(5)のエネルギー吸収領域に固着され、この双方の部材は少なくとも1つの共通接合部(F)を介して有効に接続し、それにより車両ドア(6)に対し横方向から作用する衝撃エネルギーの少なくとも一部が車体(5)領域へ選択的にそれるようにしたものであって、
前記第1の部材(T1)及び/又は第2の部材(T2)は、それらの全部又は一部が形状を変化可能な可変材料から作られており、該可変材料へのエネルギー入力により、前記第1の部材(T1)及び/又は第2の部材(T2)の形状を変化させ、そのことにより、これら双方を互いに接触させて連結させるようにしたことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第1の部材(T1)と第2の部材(T2)が前記接合部(F)において、それぞれ対応する接合形状を有する請求項1記載の装置。
- 双方の部材(T1、T2)の前記対応する接合形状は、前記第1の部材(T1)が、前記接合部(F)において、少なくとも部分的に前記第2の部材(T2)を囲み、又は前記第2の部材(T2)内に部分的に導入されるものとなっている請求項2記載の装置。
- 双方の部材(T1、T2)は、車両ドア(6)が閉じられている際には、連結することなく接触している請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記の2つの接合部材(T1、T2)が相互に連結可能になっていると共に、連結解除可能になっている請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記可変材料が、ピエゾ・セラミック、ピエゾ・ポリマー、電歪セラミック、電気粘性流体、ポリマーゲル、磁性流体、形状記憶合金、形状記憶ポリマーから選択される少なくとも1種の材料からなる請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記第1の部材(T1)及び/又は第2の部材(T2)、又はそれらの少なくとも一部の領域が、衝突によって車両ドアに衝撃エネルギーが入力される直前又はその間に形状変化を生じ、これら2つの部材が強固で、解除自在な接続を形成するようになっている請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記車両ドア(6)がサイドドアであり、前記第2の部材(T2)が座席構造体の隣又は下の車体床領域に取着されている請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記可変材料の形状の変化により、該可変材料の振動動作及び/又は緩衝動作が変化する、請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記可変材料へのエネルギー入力が衝突エネルギーから独立したものである請求項1ないし9のいずれかに記載の装置。
