Description
また、CSD30はОN・ОFFにより燃料の噴射量が変わる装置である。ここで、故障検知のためCSD30を、エンジン始動と同時にОN・ОFFした場合は、必要以上の燃料噴射量をディーゼルエンジンに供給することになり、黒煙悪化の原因となる。
しかし、本発明のように、始動時にセルモータ63に牽制時間αを設けることで、セルモータ63が確実に停止しているすなわちディーゼルエンジンが停止している間にCSD30をОN・ОFFすることで故障検知時の安全性を向上している。
さらに、本発明では、故障検知を進角用アクチュエータ38の通電による検知だけではなく、進角用アクチュエータ38が実際にОN・ОFFすることから、操作者がОN・ОFFの切り換え音を確認することで進角用アクチュエータ38の動作確認をすることも可能である。このように、コントローラ60のみならず操作者の聴覚によっても故障検知を実施することで、燃料噴射ポンプ1の安全性を向上している。
以上の如く、セルモータ始動の度にCSDを作動させて固着等の故障を防止するとともに、CSDの故障検知を行なうことで、CSDが作動する低温時以外においてもCSDを故障確認することができる。すなわち、燃料噴射ポンプの信頼性を向上できる。
また、セルモータを駆動させる前にCSDを作動させて、このCSD作動による燃料噴射量がディーゼル機関に影響を及ぼすことなく故障確認ができる。すなわち、故障確認時の燃料噴射ポンプの信頼性を向上できる。

Claims (2)
- キースイッチ(61)により始動するセルモータ(63)を有するディーゼルエンジンに備えられ、かつ、進角用アクチュエータ(38)により低温時進角機構ピストン(35)を作動させて燃料の噴射タイミングを変化させる低温時進角機構(30)を有する燃料噴射ポンプにおいて、低温時以外にも、前記低温時進角機構(30)の作動を確認すべく、該進角用アクチュエータ(38)のON/OFF作動の確認手段を具備し、該確認手段は、該キースイッチ(61)の操作の都度、前記進角用アクチュエータ(38)をON/OFF作動すべく構成し、前記キースイッチ(61)によるセルモータ(63)の始動操作時には、該キースイッチ(61)がОNされることで、コントローラ(60)がОNとされ、該コントローラ(60)はセルモータリレー(62)に駆動信号を送信し、該セルモータ(63)は、駆動信号を受けてから牽制時間(α)経過後に駆動すべく構成し、該牽制時間(α)の間に、該コントローラ(60)は進角用アクチュエータ(38)をОN・ОFFし、該進角用アクチュエータ(38)が通電可能であるかの故障診断(β)を行ない、該牽制時間(α)経過後に、該セルモータ(63)をОNしてディーゼルエンジンを始動すべく構成したことを特徴とする燃料噴射ポンプ。
- 請求項1記載の燃料噴射ポンプにおいて、前記進角用アクチュエータ(38)への通電可能であるかの故障診断(β)の結果、ON/OFFの作動を確認できない場合には、操作者に対し警告を行なうことを特徴とする燃料噴射ポンプ。
