Description
以下に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。
1. 透明な接着中間層(16)を製造するために有用な自立接着シートの連続ウェブ(10)であって、(a)前記ウェブの中央から始まり、前記ウェブの外端部に向かう両方の方向に続く、その幅の少なくとも20%にわたる均一な厚さプロファイルの領域と、(b)前記ウェブの外端部から前記ウェブの中央の均一な厚さの前記領域に向かって厚さが増加する、変動する厚さプロファイルを有する2つの領域とを含み、それによって、前記均一な厚さの領域で前記ウェブを分割することにより少なくとも20%の均一な厚さの領域をそれぞれが有する2枚のシートが得られることを特徴とする自立接着シートの連続ウェブ(10)。
2. 前記材料がポリビニルブチラールであることを特徴とする、1.に記載の自立接着シート材料の連続ウェブ。
3. 前記厚さプロファイルが、くさび形であって、および0.1〜1.0ミリラジアンのくさび角を有することを特徴とする、2.に記載の自立接着シート材料の連続ウェブ。

5. ヘッドアップディスプレイ(HUD)システムのための車両フロントガラスであって、透明な接着中間層(16)が間にはさまれた外側(12)および内側(14)のガラスシートを含み、前記中間層の上端部から始まり前記ディスプレイの映像領域まで延在する領域の少なくとも20%にわたる均一な厚さプロファイル(18,20)と、前記映像領域から前記中間層の底端部まで延在する所定のくさび形の厚さプロファイル(20,22)とをさらに有することを特徴とする、車両フロントガラス。
6. 前記中間層(16)がポリビニルブチラールであることを特徴とする、5.に記載のフロントガラス。
7. 前記くさび形の厚さプロファイル(20,22)が0.1〜1.0ミリラジアンのくさび角を有することを特徴とする、6.に記載のフロントガラス。
8. 透明な接着中間層(16)の製造方法であって、
(a)可塑化ポリビニルブチラール組成物を調整可能な押出ダイから押し出して、接着シート材料のウェブ(10)を得る工程と、
(b)前記ウェブ(10)を冷却する工程とを含み、
(c)中間点またはその付近で前記ウェブ(10)を切断する工程と、
(d)前記切断したウェブを別々のロール上に巻き取る工程と、をさらに含み、前記ダイが、前記ウェブの中央に沿って延在する前記ウェブの領域の少なくとも20%にわたる均一な厚さプロファイルと、均一な厚さの前記領域から前記ウェブの端部まで厚さが減少するくさび形の厚さプロファイルとを有する自立材料の連続ウェブを提供することを特徴とする、製造方法。

11. 透明な接着中間層を製造するために有用な自立接着シートの連続ウェブであって、(a)前記ウェブが不均一な厚さの領域を含み、不均一な厚さの前記領域で前記ウェブを分割することにより、少なくとも20%の均一な厚さの領域をそれぞれが有する2枚のシートが得られるように、前記ウェブの端部から中央に向かって延在する、その幅の少なくとも20%にわたる均一な厚さプロファイルの2つの領域と、(b)前記ウェブの厚さが、前記ウェブの中央またはその付近から連続的に増加し、かつ前記ウェブの前記端部に沿った均一な厚さの前記領域の両端の方向に直線的に増加する不均一な厚さプロファイルの領域とを含み、均一な厚さの領域が不均一な厚さの領域と接するそれぞれの接合点で頂点が形成され、かつ前記頂点は、前記頂点を物理的に検査しても鋭い端部が検出されないように湾曲していてもよいことを特徴とする、自立接着シートの連続ウェブ。
12. 非対称なウェブ厚さプロファイルが得られるように異なる割合で、前記ウェブの前記中央から前記端部に向かって前記ウェブの前記厚さが増加することを特徴とする、11.に記載の連続ウェブ。
13. 透明な接着中間層を製造するために有用な自立接着シートの連続ウェブであって、(a)外端部の間の中間点またはその付近で前記ウェブを分割することにより、少なくとも20%の均一な厚さの領域をそれぞれが有する2枚のシートが得られるように、前記ウェブの端部から中央に向かって延在する、その幅の少なくとも20%にわたる均一な厚さプロファイルの2つの領域と、(b)前記ウェブの厚さが、前記ウェブの中央またはその付近から始まり非直線的にかつ連続的に増加し、かつ均一な厚さの前記領域に向かって両端の方向に増加する、不均一な厚さプロファイルの領域とを含み、均一な厚さの領域が不均一な厚さの領域と接するそれぞれの接合点および前記ウェブが最も薄いところの接合点で頂点が形成され、かつ前記頂点は、前記頂点を物理的に検査しても鋭い端部が検出されないように湾曲していてもよいことを特徴とする、自立接着シートの連続ウェブ。
14. 透明な接着中間層を製造するために有用な自立接着シートの連続単一切断ウェブであって、(a)前記ウェブの一端から中央に向かって延在する、その幅の少なくとも20%にわたる均一な厚さプロファイルの領域と、(b)前記ウェブの反対側の端部から始まり、かつ均一な厚さの前記領域の方向に厚さが増加する、不均一な厚さプロファイルの領域とを含むことを特徴とする、自立接着シートの連続単一切断ウェブ。
15. 前記シート材料が、均一な厚さの前記領域内にグラデーションが付けられたシェードバンドを有することを特徴とする、4.に記載の連続ウェブ。
PVB(ポリビニルブチラール)溶融ポリマーを、スロット型平板押出ダイから押し出して、ヘッドアップディスプレイ(HUD)システムに使用するためのシート材料を作製する。このスロット型平板押出ダイは、HUDシステムに使用されるシート材料を製造するために調整されたスロット幅まで実質的に平行な2つのダイリップを有する。これらのリップの一方または両方は、ダイスロットの対向するリップの間の幅を変化させるために調整可能である。
実施例1に記載の方法を使用して、表1によってさらに規定されるくさび角とを有し図Aに示す厚さプロファイルを有するPVBウェブを作製した。このウェブを内部切断位置で切断し、巻き取って2つの独立したロールを得た。これらの独立したロールは、内部切断位置に対して非対称であり、A1およびA2の幅および平均厚さ、平坦部位、B1およびB2の幅および平均厚さ、くさび形部位、C1およびC2の幅、平均厚さ、およびくさび角に関して全体的に区別された。

(c)前記最小厚さの2つの領域から前記ウェブの中央の均一な厚さの前記領域に向かって厚さが増加する、変動する厚さプロファイルを有する2つの領域と を含み、それによって、前記均一な厚さの領域で前記ウェブを分割することにより少なくとも20%の均一な厚さの領域をそれぞれが有する2枚のシートが得られ、
