図1に記載の処理システムを用いて、活性汚泥処理法を実施した。
実施例1に記載の活性汚泥処理の実施期間中の活性汚泥に棲息する細菌の構成変化を、経時的に解析した。
当該技術分野において、低濃度のフェノールが、凝集性細菌であるZoogleaの増殖を促進するものと認識されていたので、Zooglea属での主要菌種であるZooglea ramigeraに特異的なPCRプライマーを用いて、実施例1に記載の活性汚泥処理で得られた活性汚泥におけるZooglea ramigeraの存在について、以下の手順に従って確認を行った。
図1に記載の処理システムを用いて、活性汚泥処理法を実施した。

Claims (6)
- 活性汚泥処理法を利用した有機性廃水の処理システムであって、
当該処理システムが、
有機性廃水が導入される曝気槽と、
当該曝気槽から排出された処理液を固液分離する沈殿槽と、
当該沈殿槽から排出された汚泥の一部を当該曝気槽に送給するための返送経路と、
有機性廃水に含まれる汚泥の沈降を促すフェノール類に属する芳香族化合物を含む有機系調節剤を当該曝気槽または当該有機性廃水に送給する貯留槽と
前記曝気槽と前記貯留槽との間に配置され、かつ前記有機系調節剤の存在下で有機性廃水に含まれる汚泥の沈降を促す細菌群を培養するための培養槽とを含み、
前記曝気槽内での前記有機系調節剤の濃度が、25mg/l以上200mg/l以下であり、添加期間が1週間〜4週間であり、沈殿槽に凝集剤を添加しない、
ことを特徴とする有機性廃水の処理システム。 - 前記曝気槽内での前記有機系調節剤の濃度が、25mg/l以上100mg/l以下である請求項1に記載の有機性廃水の処理システム。
- 前記芳香族化合物が、フェノール、クレゾール、ナフトール、カテコール、およびこれらの組み合わせからなるグループから選択される請求項1又は2に記載の処理システム。
- 活性汚泥処理法を用いた有機性廃水の処理方法おいて、
有機性廃水が導入された曝気槽に、当該廃水に含まれる汚泥の沈降を促すフェノール類に属する芳香族化合物を含む有機系調節剤を、25mg/l以上200mg/l以下の濃度で1週間〜4週間にわたって添加する工程と、
前記有機系調節剤の存在下で有機性廃水に含まれる汚泥の沈降を促す細菌群を、0.5日〜3日の水理学的滞留時間で培養するための培養槽を設け、該培養槽で得られた培養液を前記曝気槽に供給する工程とを含み、
沈殿槽に凝集剤を添加しないことを特徴とする有機性廃水の処理方法。 - 前記有機系調節剤が、25mg/l以上100mg/l以下の濃度で添加される請求項4に記載の処理方法。
- 前記芳香族化合物が、フェノール、クレゾール、ナフトール、カテコール、およびこれらの組み合わせからなるグループから選択される請求項4又は5に記載の処理方法。
