Description
Claims (9)
- 光ファイバ母材の先端部の非有効部を加熱溶融して棒状ガラスを連続的に引出して線引する光ファイバの製造装置であって、前記棒状ガラスを引取るローラ対からなる引取り機構と、引取られた棒状ガラスに微細な傷を付与する傷付与機構と、傷を付与された棒状ガラスを切断する切断機構とを備えていることを特徴とする光ファイバの製造装置。
- 前記引取り機構の引取りローラ対の一方が駆動ローラとされ、他方が前記駆動ローラ側に前記棒状ガラスを押しつける従動ローラであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 前記引取り機構は、引取りローラ対が複数段あり、ローラ対のローラ表面間の間隔が上段側から下段側に向けて順次小さく設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 多段に配された複数の前記駆動ローラは、一方の側でローラ表面位置が略一致するように揃えられて配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 前記引取り機構の引取りローラ対の表面が粗面化されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 前記切断機構は、前記棒状ガラスに曲げを与える多角形状の回転体で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 前記傷付与機構は、ダイヤモンドドレッサを往復運動させるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 前記引取り機構と前記傷付与機構と前記切断機構とが、同期駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバの製造装置。
- 光ファイバ母材の先端部の非有効部を加熱溶融して棒状ガラスを連続的に引出して線引する光ファイバの製造方法であって、複数段の引取りローラ対からなる引取り機構により棒状ガラスを引取り、引取られた棒状ガラスに傷付与機構により微細な傷を付与し、傷が付与された棒状ガラスを切断機構により切断することを特徴とする光ファイバの製造方法。
