Claims (10)
- 第1の光増幅器を有する光伝送システムを制御する方法であって、該第1の光増幅器は該光伝送システムの光伝送媒体に沿って第2の光増幅器のアップストリームに位置し、
該第2の光増幅器が、
該第1の光増幅器からの調節開始メッセージの受信に応じて増幅器調節手順の第1のフェーズを開始する工程であって、該増幅器調節手順が該第2の光増幅器の1以上の増幅器特性を所定の大きさの増分ステップで調節することを含む、工程、及び
該増幅器調節手順の完了前に、該第1の光増幅器からの調節完了メッセージの受信に応じて該増幅器調節手順の第2のフェーズを開始する工程
からなり、
該増幅器調整手順の第1のフェーズが該増幅器調整手順の第2のフェーズより前に実施され、
該増幅器調節手順の該第1のフェーズの増分ステップが該第2のフェーズの増分ステップよりも小さいことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、前記第1の光増幅器からの調整開始メッセージの受信に応じて、又は該第2の光増幅器の入力で発生する特定の刺激の検出に応じて該増幅器調節手順の該第1のフェーズを開始する工程を備える方法。
- 請求項2記載の方法において、該特定の刺激が(i)入力信号における、所定のしきい値を超える強度変化と(ii)チャネル間の相対的送信強度レベルを識別する新たな送信チャネル強度マップの受信のうちの少なくとも1つである方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、該増幅器調節手順の該第1のフェーズが開始されると、該光伝送システムの光伝送媒体に沿って該第2の光増幅器のダウンストリームに位置する第3の光増幅器に該調節開始メッセージを送信する工程を備える方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、該増幅器調節手順が終了すると、該光伝送システムの光伝送媒体に沿って該第2の光増幅器のダウンストリームに位置する第3の光増幅器に該調節完了メッセージを送信する工程を備える方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、該第1のフェーズの所定期間経過後に、該光伝送システムの光伝送媒体に沿って該第2の光増幅器のダウンストリームに位置する第3の光増幅器に該調節完了メッセージを送信する工程を備える方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法において、該1以上の増幅器特性の調節が、(i)ラマン利得をオフセットする調節、(ii)ポンプ強度調節及び(iii)偏向調節のうちの少なくとも1つからなる方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、該第1のフェーズの所定期間経過後で該増幅器調節手順の完了前に、該第2のフェーズを開始する工程を備える方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、該第1のフェーズの所定期間経過後に、該増幅器調節手順を終結するステップを備える方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、
該第2の光増幅器が、
前記第1の光増幅器からの調整開始メッセージの受信に応じて、又は該第2の光増幅器の入力で発生する特定の刺激の検出に応じて該増幅器調節手順の該第1のフェーズを開始する工程、
該増幅器調節手順の該第1のフェーズの開始に応じて、該光伝送システムの光伝送媒体に沿って該第2の光増幅器のダウンストリームに位置する第3の光増幅器に該調節開始メッセージを送信する工程、及び
該第2の光増幅器が(i)該増幅器調節手順の完了又は(ii)該第1のフェーズの所定期間経過後のいずれかに応じて該第3の光増幅器に該調節完了メッセージを送信する工程
を備える方法。
